There are various mentions of the BT47 hereabouts. Essentially, it was to be the second generation fan car, but was abandoned after the controversy over the BT46B. Sources vary as to whether or not it was ever much more than a design. If it was, perhaps Bernie has it tucked away somewhere ....

The bit in Autosport by Gary Watkins, more or less quotes Gordon Murray as saying that the design was
near completion...that was why a chassis number was assigned. But after Ecclestone realised the implications of the BT46B fan car running away with victory in the 78 Swedish Grand Prix, the plan to build BT47 was scuttled.

but as i undestand what Gordon Murray told "autosport" its just like he told them between the lines that some where there was a car ready to race ...this is what i felt when i read it.

may be i am wrong....

I agree with you that certain paragraphs contain...a very big maybe.

Especially where the article says...."The BT47 looked like......" and... "It had two smaller fans....."
and...."Everything we learned from BT46B............went straight into that car".

I think the definitive part of the article as to whether or not a BT47 exists is the bit where it says....
"Within days of Anderstorp, those BT47 designs were back in Murray's drawer."

If anyone knows more.....please come up with the info :)

It certainly isn't with all the other Brabhams BCE has, and I have only ever seen the drawings and a few parts that were made (like the double fan drive) and Gordon never mentioned that it had actually been built when we talked about ground effect/fan cars/withdrawing the BT46B/the next step, and he had EVERYTHING else to show!
