Usually, when Globo is avaliable on Sopcast, it's only the international channel.
And I believe on Sopcast specifically, it's the Europe/Asia feed. But I've seen the Americas Feed a couple of times. None of them carries F1 coverage, besides the 2 minutes reports on most of their newscasts.

The strange thing is that the race coverage is not confirmed yet...
05:35 Pequim 2008 - Basquete Feminino - Brasil x Bielorrússia
07:30 Pequim 2008
08:00 Globo Rural
By looking at this sunday's schedule it seems we are safe... AND... Magdo Bueno will give us another rest.

The live forum is aways source for some rogue live stream. I've been following those in the past races just to make sure, some are surprisingly good.

Me too. That saved me during the "Pope's Visit", when they cutted the Spanish GP.

I think they have some kind of agreement that does not allow globo to show anything else during the race...
the pope occasion was very problematic for globo tv...

Globo said that the deal allows the network to put the F1 coverage "on hold" because of a relevant event(sports or breaking news, in general). In 2004 the Spa's race ended up being broadcasted with 50 minutes of delay because of the olympic final of volley ball. There is some people(inside Globo) that say that Bernie complained only to put pressure and get more money from Globo, once that Record Network showed some interest in F1 just after the "Pope's Visit Incident".

... Valencia looks like a hell of a new location
... Felipe can't wait the green light (oops, it's the red that switch off) to erase Budapest

We were only cursing our mercenary football team in the olympics for losing to Argentina. Now they'll fight for the bronze medal against Belgium on Saturday, which very likely means we won't get to watch qualifying for the European GP.

I agree with that... But let's not talk about it... Because I'd then have to say what Bandeirantes does with Indycar's broadcasting.

The Men's Football Bronze medal game is on Friday, 8:00 AM, Brasilia time. 25 hours before qualifying...
The only event that could delay qualifying on Globo is the Women's volleyball final, which is in the exact same time slot. They have to show qualifying, it's on their contract, so if Brazil is on the final (I don't want them to be, to be honest.

The race will clash with the closing ceremony, but Globo is already showing promos of the race saying it will be LIVE, so I don't think there will be a problem with that.

And that's normal if you think that Globo won't be at London for the next games.
The Qualy is not an obligation. Not even the Q3.

There is a contract for Globo to show qualifying in full, but it doesn't need to be live. During the last Olympics, they showed 2 delayed sessions, in full, after volleyball games (Hungary and Belgium GPs). There's also obligations with their F1 sponsors, who paid for a certain number of ads.
In case there's delayed coverage, there are always some webstreams with live coverage out there...

But if you want to watch it on TV... GO CHINA!

We already saw partial qualifying sessions(that one with the brazilian on the Space Shuttle was one). Only the race is "extremely important" in this case. Just remember 2005 with those sundays qualifying sessions that Globo never showed(even in SPORTV). The delayed broadcast will probably be the solution adopted for saturday but because is the best one for the public, but not an obligation.
And an important rumor to be confirmed in the next few weeks:
We will see the 2009 Formula One season in High Definition! At least in the cities covered by the digital signal.

Well, I don't consider that to be partial, it was live, but the last 2 minutes in a smaller window.
The Sunday sessions were never showed in the majority of TV stations around the world, because the contract said that they had to carry "SATURDAY QUALIFYING". Most of the world didn't see it either.
Now it is confirmed: LIVE FP1 on SPORTV, Friday at 5:00, DELAYED FP2 on SPORTV2, Friday at 11:30, LIVE RACE on GLOBO, Sunday at 9:00. No word yet on qualifying, but it looks like it will be delayed on Globo, starting between 10:30 and 11:00 on Saturday.
No confirmation of times for the first GP2 race. The second will be LIVE on SPORTV2, Sunday at 5:30.
HD really depends on FOM making it available to broacasters, something that they are not doing yet. Globo is already showing the coverage in widescreen on digital.

F1: FP1(LIVE 5:00am SPORTV) and FP2(ON TAPE 11:30am SPORTV2) with Lucas Pereira and Lito Cavalcanti
GP2: Race 1 with Eduardo Moreno and Lito (SPORTV 3 at 11:00am LIVE)
GP2: Race 2 with Daniel Pereira and Lito (SPORTV2 at 5:30am LIVE and 1:30pm ON TAPE)
F1: Race(ON TAPE 10:30pm) with Jota Junior and Lito (SPORTV)
Interesting to see Jota Junior in F1. Last time I saw him in motorsports was in F3 races broadcasted by the late Manchete Network in the mid 90's.
For Globo the confirmed ones are Reginaldo Leme, Luciano Burti and Mariana Becker. Cleber Machado will probably fill the last spot as Galvão will be in China until monday.

Interesting note isthat the TV really wasn't that missed in qualy, live timing and the live site kept my attention. The live stream served as background sound.
The same isn't valid for the race though.

Dutra, tell the guys at Reocrd that "Mutantes" is so far fetched it should be aired from 5 to 6 to compete with Globo's movies and Malhação. hehehe. "Chamas da Vida" should get prime time.
