I was digging and found this, https://twitter.com/...945290997030915
Which provides today's schedule for quali and race:
1:30pm ET Q1 (tape)/ 10:30pm ET Practice/ Midnight ET Q2/Q3 (tape)/ 1:30AM ET LIVE RACE
$20 says they show MLS Futball instead of Q2 and Q3
edit: aaaaaaaaaaand 2 minutes later they change the schedule again...
We will have coverage of resumed qualifying at 1230am ET tonight. We were postponed last night by rain and went off the air at 4am

At least you guys have NBC Sports. For Dish Network, it's only available on the most expensive package. $75 a month is expensive just for F1/Indy Car.

So if anyone is wondering about the Q2/Q3 postponements, since NBC hasn't really made a clear statement yet anywhere, besides Twitter (Where I guess they think all of their fans visit)....

and so it begins. massive fail by NBC. on speed we would have gotten the qualifying session live and a lot more easy to find information on programming changes. very frustrating.

Yeah, I mean there are more than one way NBC could broadcast it live... but whatevs. I'll just chalk this up to them trying to get their bearings on their first broadcasts... but not a very good omen as a whole, haha.
edit: wtf is this ratio? I don't they can decide what they want to broadcast in

(and I had t manually start my DVR before going to bed. Great. Thanks Comcrap. Need to send JP the $67.)
On the other hand - much less Gigantoid Useless 1/3rd Screen Graphics like Speed had. No advertisements for Nascar or stupid Speed "auto drama soap opera" shows, so that was nice. Much less "1 minute rock video before we show you the race" interruptions as well. Not missing Speed here, just an operating DVR.

However I feel that NBC went the other way, and made some of the text so incredibly small, but I digress

The Streaming Club did a great job with their on screen graphics and offered subscribers a Picture in Picture when network was in adverts.
Only problem was when the FappaKawainni Junta took over the data input department after the end of the race.
Romain's details were wrong but at the time they were fending off a 10 year old wielding a large 2X4 with nails in it

"Ok, fast forw.. wait... really? That's nice. Wait, this is a COMMERCIAL, MUST ... FAST..... FORWARD.... but... there is the race? Wait... if I watch the race in the little box, I can fast forward, and... wait.. no... but I'm also watching a commercial? But... wait. ? No, this is a commercial, I can't watch a commercial.. wait, that's the Ferrari in the pits, and... but.. wait.. now...
..now there is Kimi racing, but... he's also selling a watch.....? In that little box he's ... wait, that's a Lotus... but this commercial, they're talking about Team Lotus, and watches, and.. wait....

Yeh. It was about every other commercial break, or 1 in 3. But there were literally commercials every 5 laps until the last 10-15 or so...... Whatever, they seemed shorter than Speed's... maybe with PiP it made them bearable.

Yeah man. The gang seemed comfortable together. Varsha really focuses those two to reach a focal point in a coversation, haha. I love watching him react to Hobbs saying something dumb

Two gripes so far: Leigh Diffey and poor picture-in-picture timing--we missed the pass for the lead in the Malaysian GP because it occurred on one of the few non-picture-in-picture commercial breaks. Honestly, though, I'm used to that, so no big deal, lol. I have faith that these issues will be resolved over time--something I didn't imagine I'd ever be saying.
Either way, very pleased with what I'm seeing, and hope that this might finally be that big break in the U.S. that F1 has been searching for all these years.

Another minor complaint but it does seem like we are getting slightly less coverage overall and slightly more ads. I'd also prefer more FOM feed and less watching guys in suits sitting around a table and so we seem to be missing the first minutes of P2 coverage (although admittedly there's usually little on-track action), but a lot of background grid shots during the pre-race which spoils the atmosphere of the build-up to the start.
Overall the Speed coverage had evolved rather nicely and I understand NBC's need to change and create a different product as far as their contractual restraints allow. I have nothing against Diffey but it was good to have Varsha back for Malaysia, as despite his flaws he really is the voice of F1 in the U.S. It's also a pity Speed have lost the F1 segments on Speed Center and Wind Tunnel as NBC Sports have no similar vehicle for F1 related news and interviews, like in the past with the Texas and Jersey race organizers.
Nice to see NBC are promoting their F1 programming more widely though but the lack of info about their programming is woeful. I'll put the lack of information and confusion on coverage of the Sunday Melbourne qualifying down to it being their first broadcast. But was the F1 36 Vettel broadcast this weekend ever shown or was it postponed amid the fallout of Sepang? My TV listings never showed it being on and I wasn't sure where to find details. (But thank you Conosur for continuing your much appreciated schedule listings over here).
It was fairly obvious the F1 contract going to NBC would be a mixed blessing. The promised additional coverage never came to pass but, in the current era, it was fairly obvious that it wasn't likely to be much reduced either.
But what of GP2? That's a huge loss. Does anyone have any news if coverage will be restored any time soon? (Does anyone else care?)

But They're going to be live at Canada and Texas and thats more than Speed ever did (or had a chance to do).
And my DVR had the F136 for Vettel scheduled but I guess they bumped it to what looks like April 6th.
And for GP2 I just get coverage else where...I'm not holding my breath for NBC to pick it up nor Fox Sports 1.

Too be honest, Watching on my bigscreen, I still had issues seeing the action that was going on in the mini box. But It's better than nothing I suppose. And Windtunnel still talks about F1 but they shortened his program to 30minutes for some reason... Which is barely enough time to squeeze in everything that happened in a day, much less a week.
Speed was at Indianapolis live at least the first year. they were going to be live at Austin until they lost the 2013 contract. Windtunnel was cut down to save money and get it in a format for Fox Sports. The motorsport news program is Speed Center. There was a great deal of duplicate programming between the two. I like the tighter focus but it does go by rather quickly.
GP2 was on NBCSN in Malaysia. The european races are early enough in the morning they'll probably keep it.

Really? My DVR didn't catch it, that's weird. They didn't even promote it or anything...
& yeah I know their plans got canned; but at least with the NBC budget they can do it right this time around :/
I cna't find it on the schedule and didn't watch it but at the beginning of the F1 preshow on the DVR I saw what looked to me to be a podium celebration with the announcer saying it was now time for the main event, or some such. I'll look at DVR when I get home (pretty sure I didn't delete it) to confirm.
I thought it was weak the way Speed cancelled the on site coverage from Austin when they lost the contract. To me that seemed petty particularly when the three amigos were there earlier in the week doing press events.
In all I'm pretty pleased with the NBC coverage particularly now that we get Varsha back every now and again.
