A more detailed insight into Mercedes expenditure over the year 2013 for Brackley and Brixworth:
http://www.motorspor...n-14101709.html
Brackley 2013:
Spend: 231 million EUR (27% up from 2012)
Income from Daimler AG: 60 million EUR (Mercedes branding)
Loss: 84 million EUR
Head count: 663
Brixworth 2013:
Spend: 152 million EUR (5% up from 2012)
Profit: 24 million EUR
Head count: 523
These numbers exclude inter-company payments. E.g. the Brackley engine cost is not reflected in the 231 million euro I believe.

Not sure what you think those have to do with each other but from what I can see, they don't.
This feels like someone's picked up a tidbit of information and run with it in completely the wrong direction

I feel like I saw this exact same story on f1technical last year.
Bosch 500 bar pressure injectors aren't new either

The article you linked to contains the normal vague spec sheet that teams give out as pat of their press kit. so I would not draw any conclusion from that.
Although it says Injection: Bosch direct fuel injection, limited to 500bar, that does not mean they made 500 bar.
500 Bar is the regulatory limit.
It's quite possible that Bosch has only now managed to design a 500 bar system that works reliably.
The omincorse artile says that Ferrari's Magneti Marelli system was already at the 500 bar level.

I didn't dig out the Merc link because I couldn't be arsed to seek it out. Merc were already using Bosch fuel injectors at 500 bar pressure. You'll have to trawl through the F1technical engine thread but there was a lot of discussion about it and it was found to be that they already were using Bosch fuel injectors capable of 500 bar pressure. That's why I find it an odd article as it's something that has been discussed at length before.

Maybe they're doing something with the pulse so they can go over 500 bar - but average at 500 which is required by the rules.

Maybe but the rumour is exactly the same as one heard last year which leads me to believe its old news.
Omnicorse have actually been consistent in their reporting.
I found a discussion about this matter in this very thread where there is a link to an omnicorse article (jan 2014) about Bosch not having reached the objective of 500 bar yet.

now, the constructors title has been sewn up, what are the chances of a hangover mentality causing gremlins in the cars? i worry that the pressure is off, somewhat, and that will allow mistakes to creep in. toto and paddy have alluded to this in their calls for the team to continue provinding reliable cars for both drivers. they are aware it's an issue.

I see Puma have renewed with Mercedes to supply team kit. I thought Hugo Boss were gonna take over making the team kit but I guess they will just be a sponsor. Kind of glad as the McLaren gear for last few years has looked rubbish.

Maybe not...
Just seen this on Mercedes facebook page:
PUMA are responsible for all team technical wear (driver suits / boots / gloves, mechanic overalls, etc.) while Hugo Boss will be making our team kit (travel wear etc.) - Hope that clarifies
