My my, first post in the new thread. Great momentum for Lewis, made that race effortless. Even had opportunity to save the engine.

Rambazamba, on 10 Jul 2016 - 09:40, said:snapback.png

Failed suspension, water leak, failed gearbox - all within a week. Quite clear what Merc wants to happen

Oh dear.

Come now SF, where is your " oh dear" with all the wild insinuations about how Merc treat Lewis?    Meanwhile I think the post was being sarcastic.

I think Toto may have missed that they're investigating about skipping through the gears, not the engine mode, based on his Sky interview?

Good race by LH today. Won it in those opening laps. As ever SC stayed out way too long, otherwise may have been able to build a more comfortable advantage. Nico did well fighting back on the dries, with a great battle and move on Max. Radio messages... not touching that one. Crap rule. F1 over-regulation at it's worst.

Shame about some of the fans, made themselves look as much knobs as those in Austria last week.

On to Hungary- Nico maybe facing a gearbox penalty there. Mercs reliability still iffy.

Great win today, and a great weekend overall from Hamilton.
Rosberg showed composure behind Verstappen and at the end with the problems, but he was slow on wets and inters.

Definitely. Master class. Nico really is nowhere close with some water on the track but Lewis looked stronger all week.

Nico just has no chance does he beating Lewis fair and square. I'd prefer a closer battle

Still doesn't feel right that those mechanical failures early in the season have yet to be worked out of the system, as much as it's been a great recovery drive from Hamilton this summer the inevitable penalties are still there lingering in the distance.

Lewis Hammertime is just relentless. Nico's largest points lead yet and Lewis just demolishes it. Must be a bit depressing for Nico tbh and his two backers, Totes and Niki.

Niki already said what Lewis did to him and the room. Nothing can stop Lewis now.

(fan mode on) Mercedes sabotaging Rosberg, typical Mercedes. First a gear box problem, then running him off the cliff by 'advising him over the team radio. They want to keep Lewis happy. Those two clowns Lauda, and Toto (fan mode off).

Nice win by Lewis, he will walk this title this year. I guess he don't care about the Rosberg incident. Can't see him losing from here.

He still has an engine penalty somewhere down the road. Probably wise to take it in Sepang or Monza, where you can overtake.

Possibly a couple of penalties, used up a fair few bits during those early race failures.

He would need to take it at Spa in order to benefit from the PU upgrade.

Where are the conspiracy theorists? I thought they [Mercedes] were sabotaging Lewis's car???  :drunk:

They were, how many engines as he left? :drunk:

I think that is being generous. When did he become so bad? He is in Kimi territory. But Nico seems pretty strong on slicks on a damp track.

He's not. He lost his main bulk of time on SC in and then behind Max. In large bulks of the race he was on Lewis's pace.

The performance today was quite embarrassing on full wets.

Rosberg wasn't very good in the SKY interview with the glass half fall comment. Not cool!

He lost 5 seconds to Lewis in a handful of laps on the full wets.

We had one racing lap on this tyre. He was 2.3s slower, but then on the first sector of the following lap he was purple, then we had VSC.

I have to say the booing was distasteful, I'd prefer complete silence, the booing is negative and unnecessary.

Nice of Rosberg to acknowledge the fans on sky even though they booed him. Amazing turnout though

I've been saying for a long time this season that Nico has no chance, even when he had that huge lead, I knew Lewis would close it.   I'm not a Lewis or Nico fan but even to me its plain to see Lewis is just on another level, even with possible engine penalties coming I don't believe it's a problem for him.  Look how long Nico took to pass Max, I would bet that Lewis would have passed way sooner.  (I'm not bashing Nico at all, he's a very good driver, but imo Lewis is just 2 levels above him)

nico should be punished going by the rules, but he wont be.but telling nico what to do might have helped him finish ahead of max.

I dont know but that crowd surfing made me get something in my eye.

Incredible to see this guy who people continue to hate take time to go see his fans.

Oh but he wears gold chains and must be a bad person right.

Keep killing it Lewis.

Milking it like its his last, and so he should, fortunes change quickly in F1, enjoy it while it lasts because it will be fleeting.

Brilliant controlled drive from Lewis

That first lap of racing where he pulled out 4secs over Nico just summed it up really, superlative.

Championship lead down to almost nothing, the boys on a roll.
