Sorry, I don't have complete answers for all the spanish drivers; but, at least, I have incomplete information about some of them:
- Jules de Segovia: the complete name is Julio Segovia Wefine, born in San Sebastián.
- Manso de Zuniga: the correct (and complete) name is Rafael Manso de Zúñiga.
- Genaro Léoz-Abad (and his brother Enaro Léoz-Abad), born in a village known as Cirauqui, in Navarra.
- Javier (or Xavier) Juncadella Salisachs: born in Barcelona, 15-01-1947.
- Pablo Reh Cardona: Pablo or Julio? Julio was born in Madrid.
- There are thousands of Pérez in Spain. Any detail?
Kind regards,
Narcís.

And now "Marietta Bob" Johnson has also passed away. (Source)From this source I learned that one of the Bob Johnsons who raced at Le Mans died two and a half years ago on 16 October 2008.

In a French forum TNFer HaineKane recently gave Joan Riddell’s life dates as follows:
RIDDELL Joan Hardwick (Mrs Lack) Great Britain / Wales b. 16/04/1912 ** Cardiff (Glamorgan / GB) d. /07/1997 Croydon (Surrey / GB) 85 years old
Some time ago it was however suggested that „Joan“ Riddell was in fact „Enid“ Riddell (1903 – 1980). For instance look here:
In 1937 Dorothy Stanley Turner and Joan Riddell finished 16th at Le Mans driving Captain Eyston's little MG Midget. A notable achievement which saw them finish second in the Rudge Whitworth Biennial Cup section of the race. At least that is what nearly every Motor Sport site on the web says. Dig a little deeper and a different name for Stanley-Turner's co-driver comes to light - Enid Riddell.
Now Enid Riddell is a much more interesting character than the fictitious Joan. A member of Captain Ramsay's pro-German Right Club, she was interned in Holloway prison during the war. Like MI5's Director of Transport, the Earl of Cottenham, another motor racing figure, Riddell was a close friend of the Nazi spy Anna Wolkoff. After the war Enid moved to Malaga where she owned a club with the racing name 'La Rascasse', she pops up in April Ashley's memoirs smuggling whiskey. In 1973 Anna Wolkoff, the daughter of a Tsarist admiral, was killed in a car crash in Spain, a car driven by her old friend Miss Riddell. Enid seemingly returned to London, where she died in 1980 aged 76.
Maybe it is time to kick off a new effort to clear this up.

Come on, there must be someone who knows more.
I can tell you her full name was Enid Mary Riddell. Has anyone access to the National Archives?

ERICKSON Ernie Ray b-15 apr 1918 d-28 nov 2002
HARMON Bob b-18sep 1932 d-30 may 2002
I've yet to see if these have been corrected, but these aren't the right people.
Ernie Erickson and Ray Erickson were two different people. Ernie was a Midwest sports car racer while Ray a track roadster and early NASCAR racer.
...and the dates you have are for a Bob Harmon, but not the Bob Harmon that raced at LeMans. The dates are for U.S. short track racing promoter Bob Harmon (All Pro), father of U.S. stock car racer Mike Harmon.

Reinhard, I have no idea where this 'Joan Riddell' stuff came from. All the indications are that Enid Riddell was the racer - my best guess would be that at some point someone confused her with Joan Richmond. Enid was a friend of Betty Haig, competed in a number of rallies - including the 1939 Paris-St Raphael, in which she finished sixth - and was also Betty's co-driver on the 1946 French Alpine Rally. She also ran regularly in the Monte and won the Coupe des Dames with Countess Moy in 1934. Competed at least once at La Turbie, so may actually have been based in France during the 1930s?
She was the daughter of an Indian-born army officer and a South African mother - birth registered in St Marylebone in London, March 23rd 1903, baptized June 5th 1903, St Mary's, Marylebone. At the time of the baptism her parents' address was given as the Clifton Hotel in Welbeck Street. Enid appears on the 1911 census as living with her grandmother and mother: it appears that her parents' marriage was already over, since her father - by now described as a stockbroker and single - appears elsewhere as a lodger in a boarding house in Westminster.
I can't trace a death for either of her parents, so presumably both died abroad.
The National Archives MI5 file is unlikely to tell us much, since it will be mainly concerned with her activities as a member of the Right Club, her connections to Wolkoff and Kent and observations of her while in Holloway. However, I know someone who may have a copy of the file ...
I suspect that the assumption that Joan H Riddell/Joan Lack is the person in question is based purely on the coincidental fact that she married one Gordon Iliffe Lack in Marylebone in 1938: from phone book and electoral roll records it appears he actually lived in Twickenham at the time and had recently moved there from Ealing. I can't trace any record of Joan Riddell in London at that time. From at least 1943, the Lacks lived in a two-bedroom flat in Croydon.

Not quite! In fact his given name is Dirk, full name Dirk Georges Evarist Maria Vermeersch, and because he also drove rallyes we know from RallyBase that he was born on 19 June 1952.

Even though Lucio did most of his driving in Australia, I'm told when he raced at Le Mans in 1985 for Lancia he raced under the Italian flag (at least that was what was painted on the car). Will see if I can find a picture.
Yes, for sure an Italian flag at Le Mans in '85. Not sure about the reasons, as he was born in Australia. Maybe they just lacked an Australian flag sticker, but had plenty of Italian flags (Nannini, Baldi, Barilla, Ghinzani, Fabi, Alboreto)?
Birthyear for Lucio Cesario seems like 1951, even if this article about a 53-year-old Cesario in May 2013 should suggest 1960 or possible 1959?
http://www.racingspo...esario-AUS.html claims 1931, THAT I don't believe at all!

It seems his father died in early 2012 (source: http://connection.eb...ale-gay-cesario).
Maybe someone has Australian Auto Action from 18 April 2012, issue 1487 (p.28), and can tell us whether or not his father's life dates are given which could give a hint to the son's age.

As Gunnar Nordström raced for Umeå AK, there is one Gunnar Nordström living in Umeå that fits the bill.
25th May 1951.
Maybe Tomas can confirm or decline?

I don't know, but it sounds plausible. I'll see if I can find anything to confirm it.

Sorry, wrong guy! Nordström seems to have been born in 1946.

Mrs. H.H. Stisted competed in the 1931 race together with Joan Chetwynd. Obviously she was the wife of Henry Heathcote Stisted (1909 - 1962).
Her own name seems to appear nowhere. So maybe it is of interest that I think she was Angela Mary Moggridge (b. 02 September 1910 in Surrey, d. 1986 in London).
Strangely her marriage to Henry Stisted is said to have happened in 1932. If that is true then she would still have been Miss Moggridge instead of Mrs. Stisted at the time of the 1931 Le Mans race.
Can anyone shed light on this?

Recently I find a document sign by Thomas Stewart (or Steuart) FOTHRINGHAM without "E", he write himself FOTHRINGHAM and cross the "E" on this document.
I find this about him : http://scottisharchi...l.php?id=205790
