Dear all,
With the February 2000 game having run its course and with a full four months without any game fever ahead, the 8W Team would like to thank everyone who found the time to play our game.
The 8W site has grown from strength to strength over the past months, and most of it is due to the amazing standard of your contributions. Now more than just a simple monthly game, in all its game answers and Specials combined 8W provides its own kind of Grand Prix history. It's a result to be proud of, and you have been our inspiration. Thank you again.
Now it's time for us to focus on other activities, such as becoming a dad (Felix), being one (me!), and further perfecting our personal web sites (expect Leif's great site to become even better).
8W won't disappear altogether, however. Watch out for Don Capps' terrific Vanwall study, soon at 8W! (We're getting the pictures together now, Don.)
Enjoy the 8W off-season...
Cheers,
R.D

thank YOU for doing it. So far it has been one amazing trip to the past. I'm already looking forward to the next one (hopefully I'll have more time on hand than for the last one)

I would like to extend my thanks to the 8W team for their hard work and super effort in producing the past quiz and the many others they have produced. The 8W Team provides a wonderful incentive to poke around into the history of Grand Prix racing and makes it fun to do so.
Enjoy your well earned break and we all look forward to the Return of the 8W Quiz in July.

I must check this 8W thing and some of the other sites out some time... It's all a mystery to me with the limited time I have to look at the net. This changes soon, I hope...

I would like to thank the whole 8W Team for putting all this time to read the answers.. there must be a lot..
Furthermore I would like to thank the owners of the websites which have helped me so much..
Felix of Forix,
Dennis David of ddavid.com,
Leif Snellman of pre-war website
And racer.demon of 8W itself of course..
All great websites..
I also like to thank all other players for beating me and stuff like that.. You are the Masters..
You may expect to see me again after the break.
A suggestion: what about awarding points to the players: 10-6-4-3-2-1 to first 6 places, and have like a 8W championship? If you think this is silly then just forget about it.. I often speak my mind without thinking things over .
See ya.
Igor.

Igor
I sincerely hope that my friend Joao Paulo Cunha (the "owner" of Forix) does take your thank-you statement with some humour ! :-)
Whilst being extremelly pleased over the fact that my friends Leif Snellman, Joao Paulo Cunha, Racer.Demon, the late Dennis Clayton and some others include my name in their websites, I am the owner of nothing but their friendship (that, btw, I highly value)
Un abrazo
