These magnificent and rare books are now back in 'print' after 40 years with the kind permission of the author's family.
* Nearly 300 contemporary photographs, diagrams and drawings of engines, cars and running gear.
* Technical details with accounts and analysis of development and performance in 610 pages to delight the engineer, vehicle restoration and race enthusiast.
* Six major appendices chronicling races and the evolving car specifications.
The books have been scanned from the originals, proofed and electronically published in the UK by Engineering Information Services. The CD-ROM master documents have been further used to create traditional paper facsimile and this two-volume set is also available. http://www.enginfoserv.com/gpcar.htm
The author has graciously forwarded a copy for my review, which of course I'm anxious to do, but how do you review the Bible? Stay tuned.

You dawg, you!
Man, of all the books to drop out of the sky and bop me on the noggin, next to the T.A.S.O. Mathieson Grand Prix Motor Racing 1906-1914, this is probably it!
Piece of cake to review, just compare it to all the technical books on GP/F1 that have appeared since it was published... You might be surprised.
Personally, the CD-Rom looks like the route I would take on this puppy. I am putting on my lengthy list of things to get someday....

Where did you find it? I have looked -- admittedly not that hard since I paid a ton for it when I bought in the early 70's -- for it, but no luck at any of the obvious places.
I really didn't appreciate the book when I had it. Now I would really like to have a copy. Of course, now that you have paid a fortune they will do a 3rd edition....
