I'm gtrying to do a nice story about Tim Mayer - but I need a little help. Tyler Alexander won't answer my emails and I can't find his widow, Garrill Page, who lives in the San Francisco area.
Does anyone have anything anecdotal about his early career (how can I say early? he only raced 5 years!) or any knowledge that might lead me to Garrill Page?

He was from a wealthy Pennsylvania family, nephew of a state governor William Scranton. His first race was at Marlboro Maryland (outside of Washington DC) in a Austin-Healey.

This site might have some info. Mayer competed in the '64 season, possibly other years as well. The site includes some race info. Don't know if it'll have what you want but it's worth a try.

What I am after is really personal stuff - dreams and ambitions, that sort of thing. I haven't been to the Sergent site for some time now, must have a look to see how it's progressing, anyway....

When I spoke to Teddy he was most off-handed about the whole subject. It was as if he never had a brother....
He did speak about him, but not in terms I would have expected. It was he who told me that Garrill married a classmate of Tim's named Page and that she was in the San Francisco area. He knew no more, but what could you expect?
