Help!
I'm trying to find out how much power individual F1 engines in the 1982 season produced.

Can anyone help or give me a clue?

Okay, here we go & remember that these are just numbers....

Ferrari 126C turbo: 580bhp
BMW M12/13 turbo: 570bhp
Hart 415T turbo: 580bhp
Renault EF1 turbo: 560bhp
Ford Cosworth DFV: 480bhp
Matra MS81: 510bhp
Alfa Romeo 1260: 540bhp
Alfa Romeo 182T turbo: 600bhp

These are probably decent max numbers for engines out of the crate, but shave some off for race setups, survivibility, and so forth...

Don't forget the difference between Italian horses and English ones! ;-)

And what about the Italian ones that migrated to England?
I think perhaps that Brian Hart had promised them greener grass.
I really thought the BMW, which was later credited with 1170hp or something in qualifying trim, would have been better than that.
