Amazing racing between Webber and Button on Sunday! I felt like I was 11 again, watching Mansel and Senna dicing their way around Monte Carlo!

Button didn't have a car advantage in all of the first half of the season races, but he was nevertheless blinding in Bahrain, Malaysia, Monaco and Turkey in particular.
Meanwhile his closest challenger Vettel made big mistakes in Australia, Malaysia, Monaco and Turkey and Button beat Vettel fair and square in Bahrain.
Button has also beaten Barrichello fair and square more times than not in the races, just like yesterday. Button has completely beaten his team mate over the season.
Button has put in two superb performances in Brazil and Abu Dhabi to cement his championship.
Button suffered a mid-season dip of car performance and form, related to the intense pressure of leading the WDC. Still he scored points with excellent drives and FINISHES in the points.
Even if there was another race, he's still won it, finishing 11 points ahead. Given the points system, he's dominated.
He's had a car advantage for LESS than half of the season, yet won the Championship by a comfortable distance. When was the last time that happened?
Both Red Bull drivers and Rubens had as much of a chance to win the Championship over the season, yet he's beaten all 3 of them comfortably.
Button has been the best driver, certainly the best RACER over the season.
Definately deserved, more so than MS peddling around the best car by miles in 2004 with only a lapdog teammate to beat.

You just proved with FACTS and EVIDENCE that he is mentally weak and therefore doesn't deserve any of his wins. That means his TrueResult™ is 19th in the championship and Vettel is the rightful champion because he hasn't made any mistakes.

The race in Bahrain was crucial and pivotal to the Championship imo.

Vettel started 3rd, Button 4th.

Button got past Vettel into turn 1 and Lewis at the end of the lap.

That allowed Button to tail the Toyotas to the stops and jump them, whereas Vettel got stuck behind them for the remainder of the race.

Conclusion, Button raced better, he was awesome in the first couple of laps as he has been all season and that made the difference.

Button won a race fair and square against Vettel. Had Vettel not allowed Button past at the start Vettel would probably have won.

Heheh. Yes that's what I meant!

On a sensible note though, I don't think Button should be ashamed of suffering from pressure. Infact very big of him to subsequently admit it was a factor. We've all seen snooker finals, tennis finals , golf final rounds etc where greats can't pot/serve/put for toffee because their under such pressure.

I very much expect the experience to go into his locker. Ultimately he did handle it as much as he needed to, for he is the WDC.

Button probably recognised this as the first and last time he really has a serious chance to win the WDC. I think it's natural that he should feel the pressure. If Brawn is off to a good start next year, I don't expect he'd suffer the same problems, but on the other hand I expect it to be a lot more competitive up front.
