Last weekend I attended the Adelaide 500 touring car race and had a ball. But one of the biggest highlights of the weekend was the F Adelaide demo/race for 1960's open wheelers. Not coming from that era, it was fantastic seeing these cars that people always talk about, especially Sir Jack in the Brabham bt24. Fantastic. Oh and not forgetting the glorious sounds of the Ferrari 312 v12. Shame it didnt last all weekend, tho.

Watching on TV was aggravating - hours of pointless interviews with touring car dills, interspersed with screenloads of drivers' ages and personal dislikes - with the sounds of real cars going by - or the grid positions for the touring cars with a real live old F1 car race happening on screen in the background!
They'll no doubt show a package of it this weekend. I'm told that three Brabhams (Jack, Geoffrey and David) finished one race...
And Jack drove a BT23, didn't he?

Correct Ray. On the Saturday Gary was driving a Brabham BT23A, Geoff a BT11A and Sir Jack a BT24. They finished 3, 4 and 5.

P.s., Whats happened to Motor Racing Australia, Ray? I've missed it off the news stands for the last few months.

Chevron have been too tied up with production work and it has all slipped behind, so they're combining two issues and it will be out in a couple of weeks - apparently.
