Not quite sure what the Trojan 101 is.There will be two Trojan T101s out for the first time in a very long time for Michael Schryver and for Simon Hadfield. One will be the Hexagon car and the other is the recently restored example that Simon is pretty sure is the Bob Evans / Patrick Sumner car. I know from TNFer Patrick that he hacked the car around a bit in order to accommodate his lanky frame and I'm sure he would be able to give a positive identification were he able to come to the meeting...........???

From my notes of yesterday the Motel Rondel Brabham is a BT38B-15 if my eyesight was up to scratch

The same Lotus that Simon raced at the 1999 Goodwood Revival, in both the Glover Trophy ( the year they allowed cars up to 1969 ) and the handicap race. That Rondel Brabham is nice, but would be far nicer if the colour scheme was correct, not enough red! The original scheme was designed by Barry Foley.

For my money the trip to Silverstone today was worth making just to see this car alone....It's the Lotus 48 - 1 owned by Bob Tabor and driven today by Simon Hadfield. It made it to the end of it's race just as a crownwheel & pinion failed. This car is ex-Graham Hill, Jim Clark, Jackie Oliver before being raced by John Watson who famously stuffed it at Thruxton. It's a real piece of history.

i wanted several cars to add to my picture archives.
Namely the Costin Nathan GT, Brabham BT8 and many others .
It makes you feel old and young at the same time when you saw 90% of the cars in period .
