If you check a number of old threads, we've been advising people to get it since this forum opened. It is a magnificent book, and scarcely a week goes by that I don't pull it down and thumb through it. What I think I like the most is that it isn't just a Clark/Hill/Surtees/Stewart fest, but ample attention is given to many of the lesser lights that made grand Prix racing go great in that era. I have seen no other book like it, and it was worth every penny I paid and plenty more.

You're so right about that book, Fast
One. I bought it at Sebring a few
years ago. I don't remember if it was
'on sale', but I don't think I paid
more than $35 for it. It
really is worth every penny,
and more!

I visited my usual motorsport book specialist looking for a good "phto collection" book of just images. I found this one for $117.

I thought it was a little pricy and found it yeaterday for $39 ata regular book store. Go figure.

And to think of all the stuff i have bought from the specialist.

Alfisti, add me to the list of admirers of Schlegelmilch's great book. I felt like I'd discovered lost treasure when I came across it. I've never seen better portraits of drivers of that era anywhere.

And, I've just received Karl Ludvigsen's "Jackie Stewart: Triple-Crowned King of Speed" which I'm enjoying going through now. It's chock-a-block full of great photos as well.

Got a copy upstairs...

The photography is really great. And none of those blurred pictures from Schlegelmilch's later years.

I would also recommend "Formula One Fascination" also. A wonderful collection. I find something new every time I flip through.
