As an infrequent visitor to this forum, I skimmed the thread topics for the last month or so, but I saw no reference to Gurney's auction. If this is already common knowledge, I apologize.
If you do not already know about it, Dan Gurney and All American Racers is holding an on-line auction at this address:
http://auctions.racesearch.com/
They are auctioning a wide variety of items, and many are going for very reasonable prices. Items include various pieces (pistons, valves, gears, bodywork)from a variety of Gurney-driven or Gurney-sponsored cars all the way back to his F1 Eagles from the mid-1960's. They're also auctioning crew uniforms and even some of Dan's own driver's suits. Some of the items are already autographed by Gurney, but he is willing to autograph any piece for an additional $10. All of that $10 and a percentage of all the money raised is being donated to a cancer fund.
I was thrilled to be able to get a poster of Dan driving an Eagle, and it was signed by the man himself.
New items are posted every few days so it pays to bookmark the site and keep checking in. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
