Much like in the previous 18 rounds, I have compiled some stats. In fact, this time there are more numbers than ever to look at.
First we have the distribution of the guesses for the last round as usual:
Qualifying Race Button 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Hamilton 13 100.0 % 13 100.0 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Schumacher 2 15.4 % 3 23.1 % Rosberg 11 84.6 % 10 76.9 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Vettel 13 100.0 % 2 15.4 % Webber 0 0.0 % 11 84.6 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Massa 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Alonso 13 100.0 % 13 100.0 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Barrichello 7 53.8 % 6 46.2 % Hülkenberg 6 46.2 % 7 53.8 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Kubica 13 100.0 % 13 100.0 % Petrov 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Sutil 11 84.6 % 11 84.6 % Liuzzi 2 15.4 % 2 15.4 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Buemi 5 38.5 % 5 38.5 % Alguersuari 8 61.5 % 8 61.5 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Trulli 7 53.8 % 1 7.7 % Kovalainen 6 46.2 % 12 92.6 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Klien 9 69.2 % 6 46.2 % Senna 4 30.8 % 7 53.2 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Heidfeld 2 15.4 % 3 23.1 % Kobayashi 11 84.6 % 10 76.9 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Glock 13 100.0 % 13 100.0 % di Grassi 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 %This time there was a lot more movement than we usually have had. First of all, most players seem to have expected Vettel to move over and let Webber win the race which led to Webber picking up a lot of support. But only in the race, he got nothing in quali! Over at Williams, Hülkenberg picked up a lot of support following his strong performance in Brazil. Naturally he rewarded his new supporters by being solidly beaten in both qualifying and the race.
The same thing happened at HRT, where Klien continued to increased his support only to be beaten twice by Senna. Also, it seems Heidfeld has lost most of the support he picked up initially.
Now let's have a look at the same statistics for the whole season.
Button 11 3.7 % 20 6.8 % Hamilton 284 96.3 % 275 93.2 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Schumacher 69 23.4 % 94 31.9 % Rosberg 226 76.6 % 199 67.5 % No winner 0 0.0 % 1 0.3 % Vettel 242 82.0 % 210 71.2 % Webber 53 18.0 % 84 28.5 % No winner 0 0.0 % 1 0.3 % Massa 24 8.1 % 12 4.1 % Alonso 271 91.9 % 283 95.9 % No winner 0 0.0 % 0 0.0 % Barrichello 263 89.2 % 261 88.5 % Hülkenberg 30 10.2 % 30 10.2 % No winner 2 0.7 % 4 1.4 % Kubica 294 99.7 % 291 98.6 % Petrov 1 0.3 % 2 0.7 % No winner 0 0.0 % 2 0.7 % Sutil 284 96.3 % 262 88.8 % Liuzzi 10 3.4 % 29 9.8 % No winner 1 0.3 % 4 1.4 % Buemi 224 75.9 % 187 63.4 % Alguersuari 69 23.4 % 105 35.6 % No winner 2 0.7 % 3 1.0 % Trulli 206 69.8 % 90 30.5 % Kovalainen 89 30.2 % 202 68.5 % No winner 0 0.0 % 3 1.0 % Cha/Yam/Kli 37 13.2 % 50 17.9 % Senna 243 86.8 % 169 60.4 % No winner 0 0.0 % 61 21.8 % Rosa/Heid 125 42.4 % 117 39.7 % Kobayashi 170 57.6 % 140 47.5 % No winner 0 0.0 % 38 12.9 % Glock 293 99.3 % 222 75.3 % di Grassi 2 0.7 % 9 3.1 % No winner 0 0.0 % 64 21.7 %Nothing really extraordinary here, perhaps the only thing that is a bit surprising is how little support Jenson Button, the reigning world champion, got.
Ok, let's move on to the results of this round.
Qualifying Race Hamilton 2 Hamilton 1 Schumacher 1 Rosberg 0 Vettel 4 Vettel 7 Alonso 3 Alonso 3 Barrichello 8 Barrichello 4 Petrov 1 Kubica 1 Sutil 3 Sutil 0 Alguersuari 1 Alguersuari 6 Trulli 1 Kovalainen 4 Senna 1 Senna 1 Kobayashi 2 Heidfeld 3 Glock 1 di Grassi 0The maximum score for this round was 130 points. Pretty average scores all around gives a average total score of 63.2 points which is, well, pretty average...
Now before I reveal the scores, let's have a look at how well the drivers did against each other over the whole season (the average gaps are based on only races where both drivers got results):
Win Av. Gap Win Av. Honorable mentions go to Fernando Alonso for his race results and Timo Glock for his qualifying results which are quite extraordinary, considering how little he had to work with compared to some of the midfield drivers, basically he could only pick up positions from the Lotuses while di Grassi would only rarely lose positions to the HRTs.
Ok, now we can move on to the results of the competition. Winner of this round, with 78 points, is Mekola! Well done!

Ok, that's it for this year. Now let's join the wild and crazy end-of-season party!
