Photos of Prophets car in open M12 form in the paddock at Norisring in 1970 show a large dry sump tank. I think I have a rear shot somewhere that shows an LG, I will have to dig through some files. I do not believe McLaren would have sold a race spec M6GT car with a ZF box, Bruces own car was purely an evaluation for the road car market.
The original RAC homologation form (Group 4) for the M6GT was filled out with the LG600 as the main gearbox and the LG500 as an option. Prophets car was being built to run in Group 4 originally so I would assume they fitted the box they were trying to get the car homologated with.
Cheers

Is there any book that features the Corvette Bruce Mclaren Owned?
Can you expand a little Jose? I have not heard of him ever owning one.
