Does anyone know who make those engines for F3000 championships, or F1 Junior, as it is called now?

From what I understand, they are all naturally aspirated, V8, 3000cc engines limited to 9000rpm producing about 400hp or more.

They never mention engine manufacturer on TV, just the team name.

The engines are made by a company called Zytec and the chassis by Lola.
As you say, they are 3 litre V8s producing upwards of 450 BHP (That's what I heard)

I was watching the F3000 at Hungary yesterday and I wondered why is it that if the cars and engines are built by the same people, why does Heidfelds car seem generations faster than everyone elses?

Same thing with Formula Palmer Audi. I don't think setup can account for diferrences os up to 3 seconds.

Formula Audi is one of the closest series in the world. At Snetterton the entire field of 20+ cars was covered by ONE second. The engines are sealed.
