I hope it is the camera angle as the Kartikeyan car seems to have about 1/2" of toe in front and rear. If not a correction will help the cornering a little!

Internet connection in media room a bit stronger than its hotel counterpart, so i have now managed to download a few more...

Valtteri Bottas: sound in the suburbs.

"Knock me down with a water vole. Was Felipe Mass really quickest during Friday afternoon's long runs?"

Kobayashi, Massa and Maldonado tackle the São Paulo rush hour.

Kind of blue: Mark Webber.

Paul di Resta: locking wheel nut.

Daniel Ricciardo taken with a 100mm lens: you can get quite close to the cars as they breeze through the final curve at a nancy 180-odd mph...

...and some drivers get even closer to the guardrail than I was.

Hero.

Halfwit.

Thought is was fitting in his last race for MN that Mr Arron featured in the BBC grid walk being captured on camera next to Bernie :)

Halfwit.

Slight improvement today. Managed to stuff it up all on his own and go off without hitting anybody else.

But I'm sure I wasn't alone in thinking "I bet that was bloody Grosjean again" when Vettel got thumped at the start ... ;)

"Knock me down with a water vole. Was Felipe Mass really quickest during Friday afternoon's long runs?"

lovely owl.

Massa seemed to do a highly competent job as Alonso's manager all afternoon.

We will greatly miss Simon's splendid brand of photo journalist on here from every race, but pehaps he will replace it with his take on what goes on in the UK next year..

Ta as always for the kind words. I'm not intending to vanish next season, but will probably attend only a handful of grands prix rather than all 27 (or however many there might be). I will doubtless be somewhere near racing cars and/or bikes almost every weekend, so might concoct some form of 'personal photos' thread. In the meantime, here are a few more from the weekend just gone...

Grid girl standards are slipping. Sorry, wrong caption: that should read, "Brabham boss."

Brabham driver.

Much-lamented Brabham driver and commemorative plaque.

"They're giving me a Smart as my new company car..."

"...but at least with all that money I should be able to afford a decent razor."

Sergio wonders whether he'll ever score another point.

Everyone wonders why McLaren didn't sign him instead.

Weltmeister.

McLaren's aerodynamicists reckon the Lucozade bottle is worth about two tenths.

Thank you Simon for the great pictures you presented to us. Checking this thread was always a highlight for me on a GP weekend. I'll gonna miss it.
I hope we'll see and hear more from you next year.

May this be your first post for the next season:

Yes, I'm sure we all agree that it's been an 'owling success. As long as you put pics of some older cars in there as well as newer stuff, I'm sure that TW will let you continue in a similar vein next year.

A final few from Brazil - and so probably my last 'personal F1 photos' submission for the year. Thanks again for so many kind words. In future, reduced F1 commitments mean more Mallory, supplementary scope for Snetterton and outrageous opportunities at Oulton etc etc...

Six in the city.

Tom wondered why a) cars didn't have headlights and b) the race lasted little more than 90 minutes.

Where's Bruno?

This year's world champion.

One knows they must be doing a good job when they have to let Alonso past, not once, but twice in the same afternoon.

Sad to loose your F1 content for next year Simon...but very pleased that we will be seeing more of your domestic contributions.

Can I join others in adding my congratulations on your Motorsport appointment. Not planning to make a personal contribution to the "You were there" Photo feature are you? :rotfl:

Fans of Mr Arron will surely enjoy his 'signing off' column in this week's Motoring News (sorry, Motorsport News) along with a two-page feature on his 30-odd years with the title, and his memories of 'Old Man Tee'. Recommended

(Sorry, I don't know anything about 'apps' or how they function  )

I struggle to find anywhere to buy Motorsport News. I used to get Motoring News from a petrol station on my way to work. The week the title changed, it vanished...

Anyway, Motor Sport subscription renewed today :smoking:
