Looking wet, wet, wet. Going to be a dull Friday I fear. Saturday looking wet and even Sunday now has potential for showers.

A very likely scenario. If just rain and not a downpour, we should be in for a good race, unless they decide that a wettish track is not something the best drivers in the world can handle and let them trundle around behind a pacecar.

http://weather.gc.ca...7_metric_e.html
Though the one recommended yesterday - http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;a=Canada/QC/Montreal - indicates the race may be dry, with the rain petering out at midday.
The amount of rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday is currently very light. But I never trust the actual amount forecasts much.

Is the track prone to standing water, or is the draining quite good?
Uncertain with it being a street track basically. Obviously 2011 it just rained so hard for so long that drainage just went out of the window, so it'd be unfair to compare to then. In terms of lighter rain, or moderate levels of rain, again, not sure really. Luckily it looks very unlikely that Sunday will see rain like we saw when they red flagged the race in 2011, when clearly it was too wet to carry on behind the SC (especially when we saw just how quickly the track became flooded all around)

It starts at 3 and the tv info has it down for 3:45?
Either they are showing highlights or simply not showing half of it?

It says "All the action" on my tv guide as well.

Live online from 2:55, BBC2 from 3:45Either the TV information is wrong or the BBC are only showing highlights of FP1?

The worst thing is that from 3-3.45pm instead of F1 practice live (or the first half of it anyway), they're showing.........a repeat of Springwatch.

As the poster above, it says 'all the action from free practice one' on my screen.
Oh well, guess I'll just stream fp1 from sky.
