Tomorrow, Friday 4th October, will be the 30th anniversary of Richard Noble and Thrust 2 setting a new World Land Speed Record of 633.468mph on the Black Rock Desert in Nevada in 1983. I was privileged to be part of the team that year. There is a 30th anniversary gathering, which is open to the public, at Coventry Transport Museum, where both Thrust 2 and Thrust SSC are on display, on Saturday 5th October. As a heads-up also, the BBC area again showing "For Britain and the Hell of it" at 10pm on BBC4 tonight.
