its obvious no attempt is being made to improve the F14T. What an utter failure
The only thing we need (can) to do is keep calm and hope for next year ;)

Ferrari looks absolutely horrible here. No balance for both drivers.

It hurts less when you won the previous championship.
But after 6 years in a row not winning....

Looks like another race to forget.

Alonso furious, trying a thousand of laps on the mediums to find a balance, nowhere with the softs when we think about that the F14T is much lighter like every friday than the other cars. A mix of oversteering and understeering, lack of grip, this will be a 1,5-2 sec gap in Q3, the question is: both drivers in Q3? Don't think so. On sky germany they also told that the longrun of Kimi was way too slow. Forget this weekend.

every time I think Alonso is making a mistake by leaving Ferrari a race weekend comes around to explain why it all make sense...

A competitive Ferrari ( like in Singapore ) is able to match the best placed Mercedes driver on Friday. Able to go fastest. That's when Ferrari is the 2nd best or joint 2nd fastest team of the weekend.
When we split the Mercedes or end in P3 clearly ahead of Red Bull and Williams, we're 3rd fastest at best, but able to fight it out with those 2 teams on Sunday.
If we are a second off Mercedes on Friday ( and not clearly ahead of McLaren, Williams etc) then we are in trouble.
If there are no dramatic setup improvements we'll end up fighting with McLaren, probably a fraction slower. Kimi will be fighting with Toro Rosso and Force India.
When I say " we" or "Ferrari" I usually mean Alonso ( in 85% of the races) because Kimi is rarely close to that performance level.

I haven't seen any updates in FP1 or FP2 but the team is still working on data collection I'm assuming for 2015. Everyone knows it's needed.

Its not going to be a decent weekend..We're 4th fastest again, behind Williams and RB.
On a side note,im beginning to like Mattiaci more and more as time goes by..Seems like a strongly determined ,no nonsense guy...On the surface atleast, appears to be a far cry from the personality of SD....... His body language and latest excerpts from the Friday PC were interesting.
Q: (Vladimir Rogovets - Sb Belarus Segondnya) My question to all participants: I remember how much you were asked about participation in the Grand Prix of Russia. Today you are here, I think it’s very good for Formula One but you can see the situation is completely different than what you told some of my colleagues. What do you think: why would the mass media make a very negative image of Russia? Who and why is used?
MM: It’s a question to the wrong audience. We are team principals, not media moguls so what this theme that the press or someone else takes, to be honest, is not my job or our job to reply. I think we’re here at a very difficult moment, trying to put in place a decent race. That’s it. About the media spin, I couldn’t care less.
Q: Regarding your driver line-up?
MM: I don’t have any update, any news, any announcement to be made.
Q: Any knowledge of when we might hear?
MM: I don’t have any news, any update, any announcement to be made.

I think Marco and Kimi will get along just fine

Can you imagine the start on this track with Ferrari? I know the power differences aren't that big anymore but I'm kind of worried for the long run to T1.

but love those Kimi-esque comments from MM

As in previous years, the F14T is very good/strong at starts. Let's hope in 2015 Ferrari fans have more to be proud of than it's ability to start fast.

Mclaren was quicker than us today. Button has gone down to 1:42s..and we cannot match it.
Kimi did some 1:42s during the second part of the race
and Alonso's last lap was in 1:42s

Another bad race in general, big suprise if McLaren don't finish ahead of Ferrari in the WCC.

Ferrari is 45 points ahead of McLaren and 28 points behind Williams.

Alonso was saving fuel. Kimi did upper 1.42 for like two laps .. Button was low 1.42 more consistently.
Most of them were saving fuel. My post was to show that 1:42s was in the car. Nothing to do with Alonso vs Kimi

And i was comparing kimi and Alonso to button on my post.
Good. Yes Mclaren was faster in this race. Not much but still faster.
If they didn't have to save fuel I think they would be in 1:42s more often (same as Button). But yes, it would be difficult for them to challenge him.
What was Magnussen's pace?

At this point, if cars #7 and #14 were to be dragged to hell and be forever burnt by the unperishable fire, it would be an improvement.
