There recently was a discussion about drivers with at least 3 Z’s in their names. This made me curious about other letters too, so I checked all drivers who ran at any F1/F2/Indy WC race (including practice), using their normally used names, so Jackie Stewart and not John Young Stewart to give an example. The noblemen in the list would be runaway winners, if we could find the exact full names.
It turns out that the letters Q, X and Y and also the J don’t even score 3, all others do, except V which needed Syd Van Der Vijver who never got further than a DNA.
My question now, which letter of the alphabet scores highest (yes, more than 3) and who is the single driver who scores that number.

And Didier Pironi
Gilles Villeneuve has 4 Ls as well as 4 Es

OK then. Which NASCAR superstar retired with a career record of 8 starts, 6 top tens, 5 top fives and 1 win?

I think with such a short career he must be an outsider, someone only running lucrative super speedway races.I'll guess Mario Andretti.

No, not Andretti.

My final guess, which I am more hopeful of, is that monkey - Jocko Flocko? I know he had 1 win.
I never knew about him! What a star. How disappointing that FIA regulations, and cockpit design, limit the involvement of wildlife in modern Formula One.

Let's go to Sportscars. A simple question (because I can't think of a difficult one):
Porsche entered 2 917's for the first race of that type. Only one started the race. Who were the drivers for the DNS one. And why was it not just a straightforward DNS?

Without digging out a race report I can only guess at which pairing it might have been - but it was likely a regular works pair who could actually start the race in a more 'sorted' 908 (I think the other 917 only lasted a lap or three).
I'll take a stab at the all-German crew, Stommelen and Herrmann...

I will guess Jo Siffert and Rolf Stommelen since they were involved in testing the car.
