Yes; obviously way too easy for this forum!

So, over to you Henk to raise the bar a bit…

There recently was a discussion about drivers with at least 3 Z’s in their names. This made me curious about other letters too, so I checked all drivers who ran at any F1/F2/Indy WC race (including practice), using their normally used names, so Jackie Stewart and not John Young Stewart to give an example. The noblemen in the list would be runaway winners, if we could find the exact full names.

It turns out that the letters Q, X and Y and also the J don’t even score 3, all others do, except V which needed Syd Van Der Vijver who never got further than a DNA.

My question now, which letter of the alphabet scores highest (yes, more than 3) and who is the single driver who scores that number.

Andrea de Adamich has 4 As, if that is what you seek. But, quite a few Italian names have 4 letters the same

Luigi Chinetti , Luigi Villoresi etc.

And   Didier Pironi

Gilles Villeneuve has 4 Ls as well as 4 Es

Let's not forget Ignazio Giunti...

Does anyone have all the vowels in alphabetical order?

4 letters the same is just too common.

How about 5 Rs     Roberto Guerrero

Jackie Pretorius has them all - but not in order.

I don't think anyone can match the great Ottorino's six o's, but here are a few more 'fivers' to go with Guerrero:

Emmanuel de Graffenried, Bernie Ecclestone, Neville Lederle, Ernie Pieterse, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Alessandro Pesenti-Rossi, Noritake Takahara, Michael Bleekemolen, Eddie Cheever, Pierluigi Martini, Alessandro Nannini & Christian Fittipaldi.

Don't know, but does Teo Fabi have the largest vowel-to-consonant ratio?

While I was sleeping, Ensign14 came up with the correct answer, Ottorino Volonterio has 6 O's

Over to you.

OK then.  Which NASCAR superstar retired with a career record of 8 starts, 6 top tens, 5 top fives and 1 win?

I think with such a short career he must be an outsider, someone only running lucrative super speedway races.I'll guess Mario Andretti.

Just to clarify, because in my eyes nobody can be a "superstar" with only eight starts in a series that runs between 50 and 100 dates a year: is that a NASCAR superstar and we are looking for a race record in a different series, or is this a superstar from a different series and this is his NASCAR record?

My final guess, which I am more hopeful of, is that monkey - Jocko Flocko? I know he had 1 win.

I never knew about him! What a star. How disappointing that FIA regulations, and cockpit design, limit the involvement of wildlife in modern Formula One.

It was indeed Jocko.  Until he did a Bobby Isaac and demanded he get out of the car - now - his career was positively stellar.

Only once in WDC history has a driver led at least one lap of every race in the season.

Who and when?

Nearly, but his battery issues at Watkins Glen scuppered that.

Let's go to Sportscars. A simple question (because I can't think of a difficult one):

Porsche entered 2 917's for the first race of that type. Only one started the race. Who were the drivers for the DNS one. And why was it not just a straightforward DNS?

It could be that nobody else wanted to drive it.

Without digging out a race report I can only guess at which pairing it might have been - but it was likely a regular works pair who could actually start the race in a more 'sorted' 908 (I think the other 917 only lasted a lap or three).
I'll take a stab at the all-German crew, Stommelen and Herrmann...

Some good ideas, but unfortunately incorrect.
