A new Funny Car record was set at Seattle recently in cool conditions .

The 1/8th mile ( 200 metres ) mark the car had reached 282 mph ( 450 kph) in 3.095 seconds.

I think that is 4G for 3 seconds- quite something.

Totally useless in the bush. Can't haul anything but @ss, gets terrible mileage and if it breaks in the outback you're going to die as a result. Stupid.

Spot on, Canuck, but it might be good for delivering pizzas or something. It would definitely still be warm if you could keep the cheese from coming off.

You could cook the pizzas on the journey, with the heat coming off that thing - about 1 pizza every 3 microseconds.

We'd be quick as long as they were within the coast down area.

What kind of L/D does a top fuel car have? hell. what does a regular GT3 car have? been googling and it is hard finding some good numbers on it.
