John, you can say hello at the Bobby Brown pit.  He is a many-time Can-Am racer and will be there vintage racing

with a Brabham and Chevron #79 ea.  If not there, I will be at the Chad Raynal "arrive and drive" Trans-Am operation

Brown has repurchased the ex David Purley F2 Chevron car that he used to own and race - being delivered from Portland

OR by current owner Skip Jones who I will meet there.

I would've went because I never been to an SVRA event. But I had to choose between IndyCar or SVRA. So I'm going next year

I will be working for KTR. We will have two Lotus 23b's, TOJ (SC205), and a Lola 332 (HU27) and maybe a couple more cars. I will be a bit busy but will try to visit. Please feel free to stop by.

Robert, is there a chance that Bobby Brown is confusing himself with Bob Brown here? Bobby is the the guy who raced F5000, Atlantic and Can-Am from 1968 to 1980; Bob Brown is the English-domiciled American - an oil man working in the North Sea IIRC - who briefly raced an old ex-Purley B27 in libre while he was over here. Definitely not the same man: on one weekend Bobby was at Westwood when Bob was at Croft; on another day Bobby was at Halifax when Bob was at Thruxton.  The B27 that Bobby drove was chassis 74-18.  Bob Brown's was probably 74-10 (but may have been 74-09).  Which one does Skip Jones have?

OK, I think I see what happened.  Bobby Brown raced 74-18 in 1974 and wrecked at Trois-Rivières.  Then Bob Brown bought 74-10 in England in 1975 and took it back to the US.  Later Bobby Brown raced 74-10 in historics, so that car was now both ex-Bob Brown and ex-Bobby Brown.  Then Skip Jones bought it, and now he has sold it back to Bobby Brown.  So Bobby Brown has the ex-Bobby Brown Chevron B27 that is also the ex-Bob Brown car, but is not the car Bobby Brown raced in Atlantic.  So simple really ...

Wow, Marty Loft was an old comrade of mine!

Please say Hello from the kid publishing "Eric's Race Reports" in 1976. Marty was to cover F-Atlantic for me but we ran outta money...

Sort of mine too - he won the 1974 Pepsi Pro at Westwood, Formula Ford, best lap 1:11.9. I came 13th, best lap 1:16.5. I never made it to Formula Atlantic! But still racing now (well waiting on some heart test to see whether licence will be renewed, getting old is better than the alternative but still can be Sh*t...

No, only did 4 meetings in Vancouver, (Westwood). Pit crewed for another local BC driver at Portland. I had raced for 5 years in Australia, in Mini Cooper S and local F3 before spending 18 months in BC and 4 months travelling through US and Mexico and then 12 months in UK. Lack of money and getting married precluded any more racing until 1985! Went to Atlantic race in Vancouver as a spectator, 1974 I think and also Watkins Glen GP in 1975. Pit crewed on a FF in UK for most of 1976 before returning to Australia. Good 3 years!
