Now seeing similar behaviour with the "highlights" bar at the top of the page. Middle click does work - link opens in a new tab - but it also opens in the current tab too.

Safari 10 on Sierra.

What's the advantage of a "middle click" over a "right click". The latter is what I used in Safari 10 on Sierra.

Right click opens context menu, middle click opens link in new tab?

ETA: Just tried here at work, same behaviour in Chrome 54 on Windows 10.

I got you now. You're bypassing having to click on "Open Link in New Tab" after "right clicking". Do you mind sharing the name of the extension you use? Cheers for that.

Oops - this is an error on our part.

I'll add it to the fix list...
