I know it was a long time ago, but ...

NOTE THAT SOMETIMES WHEN YOU PRESS 'POST' THE PICTURE WILL NOT APPEAR IMMEDIATELY. IF THIS HAPPENS - DON'T PANIC! DON'T DELETE THE POST EITHER! SIMPLY REFRESH THE PAGE IN YOUR BROWSER AND THE PICTURE WILL APPEAR. THE SAME THING CAN HAPPEN IF YOU EDIT A POST CONTAINING A PICTURE.

:)

On most computers it's a simple as pressing the 'F5' button on the top row.

Thanks, never knew that. Admin, would it help occasional users to have an up-to-date summary of how to post a pic pasted up front somewhere? It does seem to be quite straightforward when you know exactly what to do and I am sure it would be good for the forum to have more people posting.

Yes, you do have to back out from the screen and go back again. This is so you have time to sacrifice a goat and say a prayer.

Ah, that's why it didn't work for me. I thought it was a sheep.

Showing for me as well. One image in your first post, two in the second.

Postimage has now allocated .avif to my recent photo uploads which provokes the dreaded 'not allowed to use that image extension.

My previous photos were all given .jpg and still seem to work just fine.

Tim or Vitesse2 how to I solve this issue please?

From my limited experience of .avif files, I think it may be that the extension might have been allocated by whoever/whatever created the original image. AFAIK Postimage only stores uploads as .jpg and .png but it's probably worth looking at the image's link page and examining the address it has allocated - it might have called it something like '.avif.jpg', which would confuse the BB software. I've seen that with .webp images being saved as '.webp.jpg' - which the BB software rejects..

If that's the case, you should be able to open the original .avif files in Irfanview (or your image editor of choice) and then simply save them in .jpg format. You should then be able to upload that file as normal. I haven't tried that with .avif files, but it certainly works for .webp files.

All my photos that I uploaded today were .jpg that is until they got to Postimage.   and now end like this one,  /J-Frank-Harrison.avif

I will see if I can reclaim the .jpg extension as you suggest thanks, and in the meantime I've asked Postimage for help. Google has suggested it might be to do with using multiple computers! -I wish but I suspect it may be associated.

I will update when I find an answer!

I have found a picture from the Belgian GP in 1976, courtesy of Autosprint, where there is an alternative cockpit cover for a Ferrari. Since it doesn't look like a 312T2, it might well be the 312T Spare car which was used at that race.

T-76.jpg

If this is the 1976 Cockpit cover for the 312T after the tall airboxes were outlawed, it doesn't match the later Vernon Ferrari.

It supports my theory of feeding air to the engine.

Maybe more tomorrow when I get to the Italian GP 1976. (I hope so)
