Thread created in anticipation of the first season. So far, it's been announced the Muth Brothers (Esteban and O'Neill) will race in the championship with an unspecified team.

Because of an EU Directive, but don't worry, Nigel Farage says that all websites will be in English after Brexit.

Or possibly it might be because the website is Belgian?  As are the brothers Muth apparently.

I hope we'll see more cars in 2019 after this year's campain was a bit disappointing.

Wow, Armstrong is back?

I'd expect him to smoke this field, with the exception of Auer.

I think he might have been smoking ever since he lost the title on that safety car restart on the last lap in the last race last year. One of the cruelest things I've ever seen.

Anyway, race 1. Green flag in... 45 minutes?

The video is live but there are no cars on the grid and they are playing awful music. Surely computer generated.

Auer, Armstrong, Lawson starting 4th, 5th, 6th.

Formation lap and the stupid music is still on!

The Kiwi co-commentator was supposed to be a famous Kiwi driver. Trevor? Trent? Um.

Someone called Taylor Cockerton according to the comments on the YouTube live page.

No, I'd never heard of him either.

Yeah, I guess so.

I wonder if the left rear wheel broke causing that crash.. or was broken by the crash?

It looked to me like they were entering the corner side-by-side. I wonder if Auer realised it was a bad idea and lost the rear as he got off the throttle. Hard to tell from those angles though. Where are the drone pics?

Race 3 was run on wet weather tyres on a drying track. Very entertaining stuff!

The video is unlisted, so you won't find it on Youtube even with the search function. Click the video or https://youtu.be/ABO9kbRziXY to watch it.

I presume given how few cameras there are that there's only one drone, which was probably somewhere else at the time.

Were there any onboards?

Anyway, real shame about Hyman today. That had been a great drive.

Thanks for posting these mate, very helpful!

That was some start by Armstrong!

Love Invercargill, there must have been at least 20 people watching!

No TRS today; race 3 to be run at Hampton Downs and race 4 to be run at Taupo instead. Winds apparently too high to run the single seaters.

What a nice races are this.

Lawson still hasn't signed anything for coming season? With his relative little experience looking at the drivers database, he makes very good results and I like his drive to win attitude.

There will be four races at Hampton Downs. The first one will start in 4 hours and 15 minutes.

I think it will be on the first of these streams:

Race 2 is on Saturday, races 3 and 4 on Sunday. Full schedule and results at https://www.toyota.c...ton-downs-2019/

Unfortunately, race 1 became no more than a series of safety car interventions and red flags. If you don't want to spend 45 minutes on it, here's a quick summary:

It was indeed the final race results I read earlier today. The race was red-flagged on lap 19 of 20, and the results were taken from the end of lap 18 (when the safety car restart accident happened). The top ten all crossed the Line within 1.5 seconds!

Petrov was declared the winner with a 0.051 seconds margin over Ptáček. Leitch, who would take the lead into T1, was 0.057 behind Ptáček in third. Armstrong crossed the Line in fourth but was demoted to tenth with a 10-second time penalty for overtaking behind the safety car. Lawson limped across the line in seventh. Das, who was sent into the barrier, never crossed the Line and – although he completed 85% of the race – is listed as Not classified.

Oh, and according to the TRS race report, Auer wasn't to blame for the aborted restart with 9 to go. It was aborted because Cameron Das, the race leader, "had not given the Safety Car enough room to exit the circuit safely ... That allowed Auer back out..."
