Odd to rate Grosjean 5, when he was at no real fault. Sure he could’ve passed the cars he got out behind, but without the pitstop issue he would’ve finished top 8. How Kmag could’ve gotten a better result is hard to see. 8 is quite conservative if you ask me. 7 for Hamilton is too low, got 2nd.

Quite harsh ratings. Why 5 for Grosjean? He suffered from teams mistake, but had fantastic qualifying. Are these ratings from race only?

I wonder what was the reason to deduct Max for a point. A 10 would be to much, but sjees, he made the only overtaking move on the track among the other top 5 cars after the first lap.

I'd give him an 8.5, so could go either way imo.

Is your database in 2019 version ready????

Your work in this kind of threads over the years was more outstanding than some of the results posted that you had to work with....

Who is PlanetF1 ? Those ratings are total nonsense : Magnussen/ Stroll and Verstappen the same rating  :rotfl: Kyvat the same as Lewis.

Come on it is not serious.

Kvyatt put it in the points. Quite unexpected. Stroll did too and finished well ahead of the other pay driver on the team 😉
I think Verstappen should’ve gotten a 9.5 and Kmag 9. Lewis definately an 8. Oh and Nico def an 8.5!

Grosjean 5 just makes no sense, as for Gasly 5. Gasly got shafted by team on Q, overtake button didnt work in last part of the race. But stroll an 8 lost Q to perez, inhereted his positions due others being stuck in drs train. Keep up the drinking Planet f1

Vettel and Leclerc sharing the same note...

Charles was slower than Seb yesterday and he was slower than Seb today, plus that WRC moment during the first stint that left him 10s behind Vettel.

A 6/10 after an error free weekend doesn't make any sense.

I don't know. Ricciardo drives of track, loses his nose gets a 6, kubica drives over that nose and has lost race by also forced pitstop and damage gets a 4.

Imo. It's only Ricciardo who had a by own acknowledgement a DNF by own drivers mistake. That it was a drivers mistake is my opinion, but Ricciardo said the DNF was consequence grass/nose.

Welll he did make a huge blunder in the race when he was a bit too busy with car settings, he got away lucky there. I don’t agree how some say his Q wasn’t impressive. He got that car onto 2nd row on imho an impressive lap.

My personal favourites are ‘build your own calendar’ and those were I give my fantasy ideas to fix f1. But the ratings are a must read for various readings.

Loosing the Q to me means it is not a 10... but 9 is also a really good grade.

Lowest ratings for Kubica even though he was driving half a car held together with spit, duct tape and booger.

And driving it rather miserably compared to his rookie team mate, which is the point of these ratings (driver performance not car performance).

Yes. close to Lewis, makes it something like 9.7 or 9.8 - rounded to a 10 as his race was a 10 worthy.

Can't help but feel some publications are going to be substituting and interchanging "point for pole" with "point for fastest lap" to bump scores.

Hence why Bottas scores 10 without pole.

No way Bottas should get a 10. 9.5 is fair.

Also i think its not worth scoring out of 10, almost all scores are universally within 4 or 5 points. **** it and just mark them out of 5.

Totally agree. A clean 10 should be reserved for the performance to be remembered for decades. And 0-3 is never used by most medias.

Use 1-9 more frequent. The 0.5 scores are less relevant then.

Norris didn’t throw it away, it’s not like he spun or anything. He just got stuck behind Giovinazzi and couldn’t get passed on a circuit that’s known for being difficult to pass on. Magnussen and Hulk got passed thanks to a mistake by Gio and he let Raikkonen passed Norris was the next one along and eventually got by once Gio’s tyres gave up.

I do think an 8 is a bit much for Norris, but it was still a decent start to his F1 career, I’d give him a 7.

Russell on the other hand it’s very difficult to judge and will be for the entire year. His only reference is Kubica who will also be difficult to judge. That said Russell made no mistakes as far as I’m aware, and had the beating of Kubica. Again I’d give him a 7 but under what circumstance would he be given more when his car is about a second off the pace of the next one ahead?

Gotta dock points for a bad strategy and lackluster car, I guess.

Dont forget Max had the same off that Leclerc did.  I agree Max should be rated higher than Leclerc, but it seems both Ferrari drivers are being treated kinda harsh in most ratings.
