It would probably make the circuit tougher on the brakes, hopefully marginal, always fun for a street circuit.

The corner going under the grandstand has been a tough challenge - we've seen multiple SCs in races due to crashes there.

I'd like to go next year; where are the best seats/viewing platforms/hotel suite balconies?

It usually offers very entertaining races and the Formula 1 looks so beautiful under the lights. I like also seeing the eyes of the drivers behind the helmet visors.

They used to have GP2 here and it isn't bad in broad daylight. The night thing grows stale and we see nothing of the skyline (and no, FOM director, I don't want useless skyline shots during the race).

I love the Singapore GP.
It's draining for the drivers, it always pushes the 2 hour limit and there's always drama/crashes/safety cars.

Don't find the race great but night races always look cool.
The race is way too long though should be 54-56 laps max.

Most races nowadays aren't long enough. Cars are too fast. The majority of circuits need to have 5-10 laps added.
I like it this way.

Im bored of the whole night thing also. They could run the race at 4pm local time (9am UK). We have to get up at 4am for the Japanese GP so no big deal.

Billions in the sport and yet they struggle with Word formatting tables.
Indeed. Word is a garbage page layout software.
Even 1970's Xerox Alto word processing software offered greater precision.

I wasn't always a fan of this circuit. I generally hate street circuits, and i also used to think the length was bordering on the impractical. However, it's delivered enough entertainment in its lifespan, that I like it. It's the best street course on the calendar IMO.

Don't mind it... gone the dreads. The cornrows looked best though.
I'd hope they're not dreads, and just twists, because from what I understand, transitioning from dreads means cutting the whole thing off, which he seems to have taken painstaking effort and expense to grow thus far.
I always wondered why even went with cornrows, other than he might never have had a chance to rock them in his youth. I've had cornrows at various points in my life, but only when growing out an afro. However, the constant tug of the braids tends to recede your hairline prematurely. It's why I stopped doing it.

I might be in the minority but i prefer races that i can get in and out in an hour and a half +/- 5 minutes. Anything over 1:45 and i think is too long and Singapore usually pushes 2 hours.
Hell i love Moto GP and there races are 45 minutes.

Personal preferences for race length will always be different so that's a pointless discussion really. What I'd like to see is varying things up a bit. Not every race has to be precisely one and a half hour long. Less cookie cutter races, more unique challenges!

I can't be the only one that thinks Lewis style looked best with this hair:
Or this looked actually good too:
But the dreads he currently has? It does not suit his style at all.... but you know thats just my opinion.

His 2007 "clearly he got hair implants" look was the best in my opinion.

As far back a I can remember (I always wanted to be a gangster) I can only name one race where an accident in that corner actually caused a safety car. 2015 if I'm not mistaken.

That's fair i just don't think Singapore is the circuit to be this long, we all saw the farce last year where they were driving so slow last year so they could avoid a two stopper with how hard it is too overtake.

Shame he ended with a very dumb conclusion. Merc and RBR will pray that one is so dumb to give up pole for "race pace" in Singapore.

Good article - I've had similar thoughts. And this is part of the reason why teams are so reluctant to talk about the reasoning behind their setups - because they don't want to reveal their hand to their competitors, giving them a chance to come up with an optimal solution.
This is not a new thing of course but the bigger RWs (an associated DRS effect) means that it's bigger than it was in the past.
