All of those that I named have been through ownership changes too, so it seemed strange that you chose those as examples. Williams and Haas would have been better.

My point is that owners can call their company whatever they like. They can choose to retain a brand that reflects a previous owner or they can choose a new brand.

I can only say same to you as I said to Clatter... You do not understand the question, I can not figure out a way to ask it differently.

I understand your question, but I don't agree with your opinion. Toro Rosso isn't a brand or a name of a product. It is a made up name for Red Bull feeder team. Furthermore I don't see why owners of a team shouldn't be allowed to change the name of their team

Personally the Toro Rosso name isn't one that I really care about, it was a name to appease Minardi and quite frankly I'd rather they'd kept the Minardi part of the name.

Anyway, I guess at least this name actually means something (in the language it's written in) which is an upgrade from Toro Rosso.

Likewise I expect the livery will change to reflect the new name.

Tbh I do think it's a bit **** to see someone change an established team's name without it even changing ownership. I mean we've had Toro Rosso for 14 years now (yes it's been that long). If it changes hands or even source of funding I guess it feels more reasonable for them to change identity, but it's just the same guys now promoting a different brand from the same group, feels annoying they'd throw away historical continuity and legacy for marketing purposes.

Red Bull is in the business to promote their products. It makes 110% sense for them to change it to promote a different product they try to sell.
