...I celebrate mildly this evening.  But for some other issues intruding I feel pretty much today as I did on Saturday, July 20, 1957 - when this happened...

Couldn't find anything on the news to cheer me up much I'm afraid. Lots of fiddling while Rome (or Australia) burns.

Sorry, Doug, can't see much to celebrate tonight. For many of us it's one of the saddest days of our lives. 

 

Time to leaf through an old 1973 Motor Sport while listening to Ode to Joy, at full volume.   ;)

I agree. I think this is a sad day for our youth.

The UK has been torn apart by the Brexit controversy and I should hate for the same thing to happen here on TNF. For this reason I’m closing this thread before too much blood pressure gets raised. There’s plenty of scope for this sort of discussion in the Paddock Club. Sorry.
