The new HAAS car returns to the familiar livery but I kind of like how it looks from the front. Improved. Especially the nose and front wing I really like it
Has it been revealed and we all missed it or is this what you are wishing for?

Revealed. Link above.

Yes.
Ooooooh! Shiny. I rather like it. That's a very early launch isn't it? Maybe keen to ditch Rich Energy?

Nice livery, best one they've had so far since entering F1.

Agreed. Really a fantastic looking car even with a familiar color scheme. Shows that if you put in the effort you can improve designs year in year out even in iconic colors.
The black part on the front wing have stripes on it. Nice

Funny how this is the only pic with red Pirelli's. Other shots are white.

From that front view pic it looks like Haas has changed their front wing concept into last year's Ferrari/Alfa style i.e. the highest profile is not at the ends.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 14:33
Much better livery than their old drab ones.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 14:36
AMuS pictures also would indicate it has much more rake than last year.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 14:36
It's... fine. I don't get the praise, it's really close to the "boring" 2016 and 2018 liveries.

Good spot. I think Red Bull trialled something similar at Interlagos last year too. I think we'll see a few teams go down that route.

Not a bad livery - a bit of a generic 'F2' quality (like ART 2019) - but certainly clean and non-offensive. HAAS text looks nicer without the key-lines found on the older grey liveries

beautiful looking car i have to say, sauber nose by the looks, ferrari mclaren style fw, fins along the floor edge

I like the livery a lot, like someone said reminds me of a few ART liveries in GP2/F2 (ex the one in the Lewis Hamilton year).

I'm on the fence. I've seen much worse, but then I've seen much better also.

I really like it, not the boring shades of grey they had before, the white, black and red highlights work well together.

Well, it isn't a fax machine or copier like the dull grey ones they had before.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 15:20
Really like that livery. Good start.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 15:21
Good idea to get this into the open first. That livery won't stand up well compared to the big teams, I think. I expect Red Bull to once again win the pre-season livery award, only to bore us all to tears with a return to their normal livery for the regular season.

Best HAAS livery so far.
Grey never works - much better with the black.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 15:48
I like it, clean, professional - hopefully a sign of things to come this season...

Safe boring and uninspired.. yeah i said.
It's OK but what is the obsession with black, white and red liveries? Half the race cars of the world seem to be in those limited colours. Obviously modern day graphic designers are all colour blind. What's wrong with blue, green, yellow, mauve, pink, teal, biege, brown..........etc?
What Haas need is a title sponsor with a striking colour scheme. Maybe an energy drink company or something like that.

I am more concerned about the lack of sponsors on that car.

This was the first thing I noticed as well. I understand Peak increased it's spending, but I doubt it was by too much.
Guys who render cars (Sean Bull etc.) should take note how to do clean and proper sponsorship liveries.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 17:34
I do like the fact that Haas have subtly changed their livery every season (Rich Energy aside) - it makes it easy to distinguish one season's car from another, and each livery feels somewhat fresh, even though they are all similar. Compare with, say, Toyota's near-identical livery year-on-year.

Haas would plaster whatever colour like FI did if a sponsor was different. This is just Haas staleness. I get year1 conservatism as not to overdo your entry but they are established already and this is just plain dull like the squad. They’re lucky to have a personalality like Steiner to breath life into that team.
Red, black and white are literally Haas' corporate colours. It's not like anyone accuses Ferrari of staleness in spite of painting their cars red for 70 years in a row.
Posted 06 February 2020 - 17:39
Needs more sponsors ....
Posted 06 February 2020 - 17:39
It´s kind of Indy-esque which I find suitable for an US based team and by far their best looking livery since they entered F1 IMO.

(With the usual caveat that this is a pre-launch car and they may have left pieces out for now). The aero pieces ahead of the sidepods appear new and unique to me.
And they look like a rib cage! It reminds me of a Mad Max car decorated with bones, or Jeremy Clarkson's bone car

But seriously, does it resemble the SF90 in any way? I’m not the F1 nerd I used to be so I no longer have a trained eye for such details.Looks nothing like the SF90..
