ABC commentators seem momentarily dazed and miss the Andretti/Gordon battle while it's happening!

Too much effort from Tracy there. Spin and out.

Sam Posey is in the mood for ruling people out of the championship today! First Unser, now Tracy.

On the back of those comments I'm going to nominate Sam Posey as honorary president of my "Bring Back Cleveland" society.

Christian Fittipaldi crashes into the pit entry. Is comically dragged backwards behind the wall by an unseen hand.

This happened in the Indy Lights race on the same weekend:

Greg Moore won the race, as normal.

My friend, the late Dave Hollander who was lost to cancer, jumping in to the mix from Safety 2 as he is seen beginning to straddle the back of the car to assess driver extraction.

This is an intense battle between Villnuv and Fabi. De Ferran has cleared off!

I like that from Posey: an "abstract" pit strategy as opposed to one that reacts to the leader.

Villeneuve pits on lap 30, as planned. He'll be doing a two-stopper.

Fabi gets by Jack in the pits! "An exchange of second place took place", says Posey, passively.

Sam ignores the 0.5s that Fabi gained in the pits.

If Herta is defending fifth place from Mikey I guess it's likely that Herta had already pitted when he got by Fabi.

Jack Arute is casting aspersions on De Ferran, Herta and Andretti's ability to go the distance on two stops.

What happened to Villeneuve? Why was he down behind Herta and Andretti to begin with? Is the fuel strategy? I'm so confused.

You don't often hear a driver praise a track where you can make a mistake and get away with it.

When AJ Foyt says that if things don't improve he might start racing the cars himself again, it definitely sounds like a threat.

So judging by that blimp shot De Ferran is currently a whole pistop ahead of Jacques Villeneuve.
