I wonder when will we get an update on the 2021 dates for F1 as we normally get an update around about now

Honestly, the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if the 2021 calendar gets confirmed piecemeal (3-4 races at a time) all through the year, like this year. Still too many travel and crowd restriction unknowns everywhere for anyone to plan for next year. I'd even guess that the first batch of races for 2021 won't be confirmed until January.

Plus a late start is pretty likely imo. After all, looking at the "covid-save" tracks of this year, where do you want to drive in April? Barcelona, Portimao and the Arab tracks are the only ones you dont risk running on snow.

I think we are lucky if we get to see Zandvoort, Monaco and Melbourne next season.

Zandvoort probably in august, just before or even after Spa? seems safer than again an early date in may.

Dieter Rencken wrote an interesting article recently on what a potential 2021 calendar could look like -

With the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict now turned into a hot war and oil prices stuck at low levels, will Azerbaijan want to pay for the Baku race again?
