I hope all are keeping safe and well. I know his collection will be going to France soon. Does anyone know how I may contact the former owner of Ferret Fotographics Ted Walker?

It's a book project I'm doing and the photos would help.

You're a few days too late.  They have gone.

The obvious question:  Does anyone have contact details for the new owner that they can give sstiel?

I thought Ted sold his archive to Flavien and Vanessa Marcais or have I missed something in the interim?

https://www.automobi...iques.com/about

"This notably includes the collection of Flavien’s late grandfather Serge Pozzoli, Christian Moity’s library and Ferret Fotographics, the motorsport image library built up over decades by Ted Walker, which comprises over 7-million original images and was added to the collection in 2017."

An email to Automobile Classiques had a quick response. Though the sale of Ferret was noted to be back in 2017 apparently the move of the archive is still under way with the whole process to be completed by the end of this year.

Ted is still advertising in the HLR magazine so I would think he is still available on

Here is the response I received:

The Ferret Fotographics archive is in the process of being transferred and will be with me before the end of the year, the photos are not available for purchase at present.

Regards,

Flavien

The "sale" of Copyright is an on-going minefield and is different in all parts of the world. There has been a great deal of bluff and bluster by so-called "Copyright Owners" some of whom are on this forum.

Ron Hickman schooled himself in this subject in order to protect his engineering designs. He taught me a thing or two.

Thanks very much all for your advice. Fortunately I have got a delay in my book project so I have time to approach Monsieur Marcais for the pictures.

Has anyone had any luck obtaining photos from the new owners please?

I emailed a few weeks ago but no response yet.

It's about Gunnar Nilsson.

I might still have some pictures I'd taken at the 'Memorial' meeting at Donington - but such images are possibly not in short supply.
