Hopefully any of Penske drivers. I bet NASCAR will fix the championship for Elliot (part of NASCAR young new blood) or Don't Wanna Shift Denny (keep Toyota happy)

Oh wow. It’s all the circuits on the trophy. That’s kinda cool.
Personally, I love it.
It's meaningful.

I just won it, Nascar Cup title in Nascar Heat video game
I back off all attacking maneuvers by Denny Hamlin
And even Kyle Busch didn't help him (who was trying to hold me)
I forgot to mention I was Brad

Road to Phoenix
Posted 03 November 2020 - 19:55
In 1988, the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers and an Elliott in the No. 9 car all won a championship. The Lakers and Dodgers did it again in 2020...
Wow. Can't be

After finishing first at Martinsville Speedway to reach the Championship 4, Chase Elliott will start first Sunday in the Cup Series season finale starting lineup at Phoenix Raceway.
Joey Logano, who won the March 8 race at Phoenix, will start second in search of his second Cup championship. Penske teammate Brad Keselowski, who also is seeking his second title, will start third in his No. 2 Ford.
Denny Hamlin, who is making his second consecutive championship appearance after winning at Phoenix a year ago in his No. 11 Toyota, will start fourth among the title-eligible drivers.
Race time: 3 p.m. ET Sunday (21:00 CET)
Track: Phoenix Raceway; Avondale, Arizona (1-mile speedway)
Length: 312 laps (312 miles)
Stages: Stage 1 ends Lap 75. Stage 2 ends Lap 190.
TV coverage: NBC
Let's gooooooooooooooooo

I really want Hamlin to win it, because he deserves a title after the last couple of years. I'd also accept a second title for Keselowski or a first for Chase - and actually I think Elliott might be the favourite especially with pole. But if Logano wins I'm gonna kick off. That would be worse than Jorge Lorenzo winning MotoGP in 2015.

So, how does the point system work for this final race?
Does it come down to the finishing position for the "championship 4 drivers"?
Are stage points awarded?
Do the championship 4 start the race with the same amount of points?

They must beat each other
No points

Go Joey!

Got to feel for Moffit in the Trucks, 3 secs clear with 3 to go, n00b gets turned for an OT finish, most pit for new tires and he comes home 10th. Creed, his team mate way back in 8th on the restart dives low onto the apron and picks up the title.
Won't be crying if Logano has similar misfortune on Sunday

I expect fireworks in Cup
You all see what Harvick did for a win
And Nascar said it is OK
So...
And Phoenix is such bump n run track

I haven[t followed the truck series, but looking at stats alone it seems that at least Creed was the most deserving driver based on wins, stage points etc. Not the ideal way to have to claim it, or determine an entire year's top 4, though.

Skeptical about ISM as the venue for the decider but we'll see what develops.
The driving-on-the-apron thing has the potential to sully today's events. The announcers try to make it a Phoenix selling point, but it's really stupid.

Ugh.
Here we go.
For me, this race is all about Jimmie Johnson. Will savor it fully and pay respects to the man and his legacy in the series.
Other than that, it's Hamlin all the way for me. I'd be ok for Keselowski too. But Logano and Elliot? Pfffffff no. They don't deserve to be there.
See y'all in a couple of hours.
