Volkswagen has announced that it will stop all activities related to motor sports.

 

They will abolish the entire Volkswagen Motorsport department with 169 employees, and will transfer the workers to other jobs within the house.

 

Despite that, Volkswagen claims that the delivery of parts for the TCR model "VW Golf" is long-term secured.

 

This German company left the factory support of teams in TCR competitions last year, after which it announced that "VW's sports program will be electrified."
