Once in a lifetime for some, as a life long fan of the sport, I love these kinds of rare events. And after the past 7 years, we were due something like this.

The last time we had something this close was 2010/2012? Time flies

I’m going to be exhausted come race finish, I’m already burning through crazy amounts of adrenaline and it’s 2.5hrs to race start!

Need to go out for a walk.

Thanks once again for the OP Tom. They’ve been brilliant to read all season, and a great reference point each weekend for so much information packed in to one spot. You and Marklar are probably my two main reference points for F1 info and news!

Here’s hoping for a cracking race, ending this season how it deserves. I’ve got Austin vibes about this one. A repeat of that, albeit perhaps with a final lap overtake, would be just super.

Enjoy everyone!

These are the days we dream of when we watch F1. I hope it’s a classic with a decent battle for the lead.

As a Lewis fan, seeing him win number 8 would be incredible and something I never dreamed of when he was struggling in 2013. If he does lose his crown though it’s to the next superstar. Hopefully Max learns from this year and cleans up his driving going forward. He is so good he doesn’t need moves like in Saudi Arabia.

Max fans, if Lewis wins today it will suck. The first one is always the best one. Max is too good to not get many more shots at a title. If he does win today, savour it. You never know how long it will be until his next shot comes. Lewis fans know that all too well after 2008.

I bought a Serrano ham for this one yesterday. Also got some Max Strong Wasabi peanuts.

My walk is taking me via the local shop, where I will pick up (at the request of the kids) some bRussell sprouts (to be cooked with breadcrumbs and Parmesan) and some LanDonuts.

F1, food and puns: possibly 3 of my favourite things.

So Mazepin out, that is one red flag less. Schumacher and Tsunoda left.

I think it's been 13 years since last time we've had a WCC decided in the last race. Granted, it looks rather bleak for Red Bull, the fact that this has not happened since 2008 is interesting (and probably related, aside from dominant cars, to ever-growing F1 calendar).

Guess it depends what side you sit on aha. For me anything other than a Lewis win will be a huge anti-climax - just being honest!

I do think Max will win though. Annoyingly I have a mega to attend at 1pm so I'll be being somewhat rude and having it on my phone at all times. Unless it goes in a direction I don't like! :p

You know I am actually less nervous today than I have been all season, I just hope it goes the way of Lewis. What a season though and what a race to the title we have had.

Was it Vettel who went for a 2 stop here in 2016 and very almost won the race with a vastly inferior car?

Hopefully is a great race with a lot of action. I prefer if Max wins but if Hamilton is the winner, that's also cool. Someone winning more titles than Schumacher is something I never thought I will see in my lifetime.

Having a friend and her family over for an early Sunday lunch (full lateral flow testing in action, handy pre Christmas test run, too.

Then we’ll all be watching the race at 13:00. 17 month old was on the fence prior to Saudi Arabia on lap 36, now backing Lewis.

I have the same, was expecting a dominant Mercedes for this race, so that not being the case is good enough for me. May the best win.

Only when Hamilton backed Rosberg into Ver and Vet for many laps, or he would be far in the distance.

Or maybe it was some other year you are talking about...can't remember anymore.

Lewis and Max have propelled F1 back into the big time, they've made F1 exciting to the masses. What ever happens next, we're lucky to have them. Fingere crossed this isn't their last battle.

May the best man win.

That said, COME ON LEWIS

Apart from qualifying, based on my notes. Used hard tyres for Mercedes have done one lap, ditto for Alpine. Schumacher's used mediums have done two laps (Mazepin would have had the same)

Different track, and not a normal race as Lewis was trying his best to back Nico back into the clutches of the others so the final few laps were far slower than they could have been in more normal circumstances.

For the sake of the Autosport forum servers, I hope Max and Ham don't have a 'contretemps'  :p

As a neutral observer - ok so maybe not quite so neutral after the last few races, I think Max has pushed things too far at times - I would love for this to be decided on track in a clean manner. However, with the way this season has gone I fully expect this to end up with an incident being investigated by the stewards and then the result being subject to appeal by the losing party...

Hoping for a Lewis 8th 🙏🏾. But after what redbull and max has done this season, and yesterday, they’d be deserving winners.

And despite Lewis tootling around still nobody could overtake.

It's a horrible track for a title decider, they need to go back to Brazil as the last one.

Just awesome that we have a showdown between the very probably two best drivers on the grid, tied in points before the last race. Those occasions do not come often, enjoy it!

I just hope everyone stays classy but I'd I was to look at two particular people not to it would be max race engineer and horner. Max on the other hand will be OK either way.

Mercedes/Red Bull could easily instruct Bottas/Perez to knock that final corner bollard at just the right time to give their team leader a free pitstop...

Funniest podium would be Perez #1, Hamilton #2, Verstappen #3.

Just to see the look on Marko's face...
