Drama!

Rosberg Team fighting for the champ with team X44, they're both in the crazy race and they clashed wheel to wheel in the first few corners.

Rosberg team is out of the race with suspension damage after more contacts with another team, now X44 "just" needs to finish on the podium in the final to win the championship.

Pity taken upon UK Freeview customers: ITV4 are showing a highlights program tomorrow (Monday) at 18:55 GMT.

The drama is real! Definitely rooting for X44 to nab this.

X44  Some good luck involved in that, but that's racing. A lovely win from ABT.

This finale was Extreme:up:

Quite a tense race, track got really bumpy & dusty compared to the previous runs.

Team X44 was really on the verge of losing their chance, they got a bit lucky with that speeding penalty for Andretti but, hey, they did overspeed, so all good!

Championship title for Seb Loeb & Christina Gutierrez!

Quite a heartbreak for Team Rosberg, but that's racing, you win one day, you loose the other one.

Happy for team ABT too, they always had the pace but never were able to put it all together.

I think this championship is really spectacular to watch from a TV point of view, and it's improving from Season 1, with more cars racing in the heats, less reliability issues & more solid TV production.
Hopefully the audience will get bigger in the future.

I'm frustrated to see next year's calendar is again only five events, with a big gap between event four (mid-September) and event five (early December). I'm also unimpressed to see another event in Sardinia, which has not delivered at all in the three events we've had there.

So much good stuff here, but the series needs to be careful.

Ye, they should definetely aim to host more rounds, at least 2 more.

Main problem of this serie is not the on track product, wich is spectacular and delivers excitement, but everything around it.

Not enough of pubblicity and too few rounds, with months gap between them.

It's easy to loose track of the championship, i myself forgot about one or two rounds before this finale.

Will there be more entrants next season?  I find it hard to take a series seriously that has only 10 cars putting around  :well:

I know we discussed this in the summer but I think it bears repeating that the raison d'etre of the series precludes any extensive growth in the calendar; it can't be "at least 2 more", it has to be "at most 2 more".

There can certainly be work done on the gaps between rounds, though. A seven round calendar with one every six weeks - a month and a half - would work I think.

This is an excellent series which more people should know about but it can't be done by giving them a race every fortnight.
