Launch will now be at the Revival, not the MM due to delays from the council and there was previously a very similar hut there in the same position back in the 1940,'s.

Excellent news indeed.
But, if it is to become a bar (good news again !), for historical accuracy it should of course be spelt with capital letters.
Both team and shed could then be said to have morphed into a BAR !

Edit: But seriously, this project sounds incredible. What an inspired way, and place, to keep a legacy alive.

Be even nice to have seen it relocated to somewhere out 'in the country', as commentators used to say . It'd then be more likely to be enjoyed by folk who knew who Ken Tyrrell was . Unlike the irritating influencers , YouTube warriors , Dubarry booted Ruperts and Instagram friendly Marilyn Monroe tribute acts whose preferred habitat seems to lie between the chicane and the first apex at Madgwick . Great news and well done to those who made this happen. For true period authenticity they will need to reproduce Mickey Brown’s many “gentleman's calendars” that adorned the shed, but I somehow doubt it..
They could always try and ask the same ladies to pose in 2023 for similar pictures - that may be less controversial

Pete Townshend warned about this sort of thing back in 67.
I asked my dad where Lily I could find
He said, "Son, now don't be silly
She's been dead since 1929"
Oh, how I cried that night

WHO would have thought ......... !
Ken, I suspect, would be appalled.
But, once again the ability of this forum to take a serious subject and widen it, especially to something amusing, is outstanding.
As an aside, my first live gig was The Who and Cream, double-billed at Brighton (in '65 or '66 ?).

This has to be it, I think, as it appears to have been the only gig The Who played in Brighton between 1965 and 1970. Coincidentally, the single Pictures of Lily was released on 21st April 1967.This is TNF so needs pinning down. 21st April 1967?

Who (sorry !) knew Tim Murray was a fountain of knowledge on gig dates and single releases !!
I won't / can't argue with 21st April 1967, as I can remember what car my Dad picked me up in, and that fits the bill !
Although Ken might have been appalled on one level, I am sure he would also have chuckled at the idea of us turning a reminder of him, and his great team, into talk of Lilllie Langtry and that degenerate band The Who. Alternatively, of course, we might all be in for a 'froth job' !

Released on June 24 in the US. By about the First of July the two Top 40 radio stations in my home town were no longer playing it. At a personal appearance, one of the hip 'n' happnin' on-air talent jocks was asked why not? He said they were told by the boss it was because the song was about choking the chicken.

To be honest I can't remember that, nor can my best mate who was with me, but that doesn't mean they were'nt !
Now, just to get things straight, please don't ask me what was on the gig set list 56 years ago !!!

Not at all Richard. At risk of turning this thread into a mutual admiration society, it was instead your early involvement and reporting of the situation that proved critical and for that all Tyrrellisti are - I am sure - grateful. I certainly am.

Maybe it's just me, but theTyrrell shed itself and the fact that it has now been preserved is more impressive than the McLaren "Death Star".

I wish I had one of these in my garden. Looks fabulous.......... Not sure I could emulate Gardner's design and build skills though. No, I know I could not!
Thanks to all who were involved in saving this piece of history.

Seconded. But I wonder what Ken Tyrrell would have thought about the £100,000 (as reported in Motorsport) cost of moving his £50 shed. No-one worried about asbestos back in the 50s.

Just hope the current Timekeepers box at Dundrod will see some action in the future.
