Each member will pick one driver for every race, and the same driver may not be picked twice before all drivers have been used. The member will get points according to the finishing position of the driver, so a win is worth one point, 2nd place is worth two points, etc. After all classified drivers, the list is followed by retired drivers, disqualified drivers, and non-starting drivers.

The initial prediction has to be made before FP1 starts in Bahrain. These shall not be altered unless a new driver is entered for any race. That driver can be entered for any event, with the original prediction moved to the next race where there is no driver named.

As there are more than 20 races in the schedule, the original predictions include only the first 20 races.

After 20 races have been completed, each member can try to improve their scores on drivers for the remainder of the races by picking an earlier selected driver. For these drivers, the better result of the two races is counted for the final results.

Additionally, each member predicts how many points Oscar Piastri will score during the season. This will act as a tie-breaker if two members have the same number of points at the end of the season. If no prediction is made for this part, the answer will be counted as zero points.

Earlier winners:

2019 Makarias
2020 SpaceHorseParty
2021 GTA
2022 Brawn BGP 001

The first 20 races are listed as follows:

Update after Spanish GP:

Firstly, there were two predictions that had one driver twice and another not on the list, so those have been changed to this

KWSN - DSM: Two times Piastri and no Gasly - Gasly attributed to Qatar
DutchQuicksilver: Two times Norris and no Piastri - Piastri attributed to Belgium

Additionally, with Emilia Romagna Grand Prix being cancelled, all those predictions have been moved to the 20th race of the revised calendar - São Paulo Grand Prix.

Current standings are as follows:
alekracing 22
SpaceHorseParty 44
KWSN-DSM 45
P0inters 56
tourister46a 62
LB 63
DutchQuicksilver 65
Makarias 69
M2000-5 70
Anderis 71
GTA 74
scheivlak 74
mark f1 81
LolaB0860 85
Brawn BGP 001 97

No reason to draw too many conclusions from the current standings. alekracing has used the top 7 of the current championship, while Brawn BGP 001 hasn't used Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin, or Alpine driver so far.

With Daniel Ricciardo joining the field, he can be added to the predictions. Some of participants have used de Vries already, while some had him still in the later stage of the season.

Have used de Vries:
mark f1
Anderis
LolaB0860
tourister46a
P0iters

Have not used de Vries:
KWSN - DSM (initially picked for Italy)
DutchQuicksilver (Netherlands)
GTA (Mexico City)
SpaceHorseParty (Italy)
scheivlak (Netherlands)
LB (Italy)
alekracing (Italy)
Brawn BGP 001 (São Paulo)
Makarias (Netherlands)
M2000-5 (Italy)

Members in the first group:
You pick Ricciardo for a race between Hungary and Las Vegas aforementioned included. Picking one between Hungary and São Paulo means moving original pick of that race to Las Vegas.

Members in the second group:
You pick Ricciardo for a race between Hungary and São Paulo. If that race is already filled, the original pick will be moved to the race originally reserved for de Vries.

Regardless of member having results from 20 or 21 drivers, only the best 20 will count.

My computer needed to be brought to be fixed so I'm not updating points right now, but I'm planning to do it at latest during the summer break.

So how does the Lawson-Ricciardo thing affect the comp?

I decided that all Ricciardo picks count as Lawson. It was a bit difficult as it wasn't clear how long DR would be out.

Anyway, here is the table after 20 races. Please check that points are correctly distributed.

For the users, third-rightmost column is overall points, second-rightmost pick for Piastri points and rightmost difference between 96 (which is the amount of points based on race average) and Piastri prediction. Piastri has passed all the predictions so in case of equal points the one with higher point prediction automatically wins.

kpk2023-20.png

With 20 races gone, now each member can try to improve their results for certain driver. So picking to improve driver who has 19th position in the table means that better result than that will make that result to stay. If the driver is placed 20th, then 19th place will stay as a result. Those who have not made pick for Ricciardo can also make the pick for him and in that case the worst result for any driver will drop out. The best 20 drivers will count.

There are members with one or two races to pick, so for both Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi the prediction deadline is when the FP1 will start in each event.

I see I fell near to the bottom of the standing again. Why do I always do so poorly at this game when it's by far the most luck based game of all here. :rotfl: I should have good luck from time to time, no?

So, as I made a pick for Ricciardo for Las Vegas, am I supposed to stick to it or am I free to try to improve two other drivers in the remaining races? I find the situation a bit confusing.

You (and everyone else who has already pick for Las Vegas) keep Ricciardo or the driver you have. In your case better result than 20th knocks out result of Sargeant/Piastri from your point tally.

That'll leave me with DNFs from Piastri and Russell count. Not a great season.

LB - Norris 20th, no improvement
Anderis - Ricciardo 14th, knocks Piastri (20th) out
tourister46a - Leclerc 2nd, improves by 18 points
scheivlak - Alonso 9th, improves by 6 points
mark f1 - You still had Hulk for Vegas remaining, 19th which knocks Piastri (20th) out.
SpaceHorseParty - Leclerc 2nd, improves by 18 points
Makarias - Russell 8th, improves by 5 points
GTA - Albon 12th, improves by 7 points

p0inters (168), tourister46a (179) and Makarias (184) remain with a chance to win.

Even if you stated Abu Dhabi picks before Las Vegas Grand Prix you are allowed to change until FP1.

I know this feeling. I think in 2021, I had Perez DNF in Hungary for me so I picked him for Abu Dhabi and he DNF-ed again. :p

I don't know how it ended up that I'm the only one who wasn't allowed to make a pick for Las Vegas (among players who still cared to improve the initial guesses)(EDIT: not the only one, now I see that Brawn BGP 001 hasn't made one either). It's ended up disadvantaging me, because the probability was on the side of a driver like Piastri or Russell giving me a bigger improvement than Ricciardo knocking out the worst result of another driver.
