Looks good. Keanu is a great host for this sort of documentary. Love the come back he makes to Christian. So true.

How does one watch this? I don't think we have "Hulu" in the UK?

You can stream Hulu through Now TV 👍

Missus watches the Kardashians on it and possibly now understands my desire to retain the platform 😂

Does that mean I can get it with a Sky subscription? (or will it end up on Sky Docs or SSF1?)

I don't have Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime, but somehow I can watch all their shows. Similarly I don't have WEC TV or VideoPass but I can watch WEC and MotoGP respectively ;)

Trailer to me feels underwhelming. I think it didn't need a host as such. Just going to have unnecessary back and forths and jarring sections. I hope it significantly touches on the ending of Brawn and the buyout by Merc, that's what is interesting to me most.

Without Keanu it's just another boring F1 documentary that could be published on SkyF1 at 12:30. I get what you mean about underwhelming, but the entire buzz around this is solely because of his involvement

Shame the cars looked so awkward. I don’t think I minded as much at the time but the wide front wings, narrow track and tall narrow rear wings just look so off.

I’m imagining the 2009 field with 1997 proportions. Much better.

I liked the looks of the 2009 cars. Yes, the wings might have looked awkward, but it was the first year after the aero revolution and the car still had very basic and neat shapes before they were developed into something more complicated later on.

Yes I liked the clean lines. The proportions just look all wrong.

Yes but some people aren't blatant thieves and probably want to know how they can watch it themselves in the UK.   ;)

It's going to be on Disney+ here.

The  ̶c̶h̶e̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶  bending the rules with the double decker diffuser takes some of the romance out of this Brawn story imo.

The other teams just didn't raise enough concern about it. Because they probably didn't think it would decide the title I guess. BMW put their heart and soul into the 2009 car and then just get walked over by a team that bent the rules. This is part of the reason why BMW left F1. F1 should be more proactive about issues like this.

Wrong. Toyota and Williams also had double diffusers at launch. They were also legal, as checked with the FIA during the preseason and confirmed by the scrutineers in Australia.

BMW dropped the ball massively with their F1.09. It just wasn't anywhere quick enough. If they'd come second that year, or even 4th behind Brawn, Toyota and Williams, you may have a point. But that's not what happened. BMW just designed a bad car, heart and soul or not. Double diffusers didn't decide the title.

That BMW was one of the shitiests cars I've ever seen (considering the resources poured). Aero was heavily underdeveloped.

You do realise the result of the first race of the season was protested and it went all the way to the fia court of appeal who deemed it legal?

The problem was the way the rule was written meant you only had to be compliant from one dimension. 3 teams spotted that gap and had a double diffuser.

Contrary to popular opinion it wasn't actually the secret to the car being so fast and I reckon the film will mention that.

The car and engine was basically a last hooray from Honda before they left the sport and Brawn bought it all for £1

The double diffuser was actually created by someone at Super Aguri!

Brown warned FIA and other teams about a potential loophole and was ignored.

BMW had a super strong season in 2008 which they abandoned to focus on 2009 car, which they proceeded to cock up. Having heart and soul does not entitle you to anything, especially if you make the wrong strategic moves.

BMW left in 2009 for the same reason other manufacturers left - economic crisis. The FIA wanted to bring costs under control and the manufacturers fought FIA tooth and nail all the way.

Now tell me again why BMW left. It couldn't possibly be their own strategic failings and lack of foresight, could it!?
