I don't suppose you checked the tire pressures?

I've noticed them (Model 3) hopping sharply on bumps when ahead of me on the highway, very high frequency hops as though the damping is too firm along with stiff springs. Like the BRE Datsun 510s I used to see on the road in Vancouver in the late 1970s.

Saw my first on on the street the other day, looked quite different to me in person than in photos. Believe it or not, I expected it to be larger.

My Model 3 rides nice. The tires are a bit noisy and harsh (my fault for getting 19s instead of 18s) but the ride performance is BMW 3-ish.
I don't know what is going on there. Air pressures, different dampers, perhaps?
To me, one immediate complaint for rear passengers the odd and difficult rear door opening. The roofline is low for a four-door sedan, forcing the issue.
A Model Y would be much more suited for livery. The body is essentially a tall Model 3.

I think I figured the problem out. It was one of those rideshare drivers who don't want you in the front of the car so I had to ride in back. Tesla owners have probably never ridden in the back seat of a Tesla. I don't like riding in the back so he missed getting a $20 tip.

Hot tip - if you want robust tires with decent ride quality always go for at least 100mm of sidewall height.
Desmo - you'd be (less than) amazed how little attention ride engineers pay to rear seat comfort. On trips we usually only have 2 people in the car so the rear seat doesn't get any attention.

There's good knee/legroom in the back of a Model 3 but the rear suspension is crap. Ride in front if you can.

Not just the seats - the door cap trims are often hard plastic instead of soft like the front ones often are. I immediately avoid considering a 4 seater car if it's like that.
