It is the last day of F1 racing commenting term so as usual, you do not have to be wearing your uniform to school and you can play board games in the morning instead of lessons. It has been a punishing schedule and if possibly not the most exciting of seasons, no doubt who was the star of the show, so take a bow, Max Verstappen in a job crushingly done.

Qualifying

Starting Grid

Pretty much as above, I think

Again, when is this happening?

1pm, GMT or 5PM local

Then see you back here on 02 Mar 2024 for the Bahrain GP!

Was thinking about how infrequent technical DNF:s have been this year. Anyone have stats for this? I slightly miss having the frequent kabooms like in the proper engine noise years.

Hoping for an Oscar win to close out a superb rookie season for him.

Hoping Danny Ric has a great race and makes up some positions.

Hoping Logan has a great race too.

I'll only be able to watch the start, but I don't expect I'll miss much, despite the grid looking very interesting and mixed up. Hope I'm wrong though so the season can go out on a high.

Going to be interesting between Ferrari and Mercedes.

I do think Ferrari are going to get it though.

Heartbreak in AD for Toto again.

I don't think Merc would be too upset though, as they need all the development time they can get with what will be a totally new car, so that will soften losing 2nd for them.

New lap comparison overlay is good. Better than the side by side.

Absolutely agree, really great way to show where cars and drivers find and lose time over a lap. Let’s hope this stays.

No mechanical retirements in Monaco.

Whatever happened to it being a race of attrition?

I suppose the engineers have just got too good.

Yes that’s correct. Anthony Davidson did a good job talking through it.

The cars have been running at 40% pace for years now in the ‘race’.

A lot of people that follow F1 dont know who Martin is, like my dad. There is a shitload of media on the grid, which are not allowed at the end part. He was probably not informed that Sky Uk is allowed there easy as that, the problem is who ever gave the instructions.

Of course, we're extra-environmentally unfriendly here in Abu Dhabi with five fighter jets and a jetliner.

Yuki have not made it easy for Ricciardo to make a triumphant comeback. Daniel really need to make a 10/10 race today.

Yuki have shown that Dan were and is regressing, and that it was not the car past 2 seasons against Norris.

Or rather people have underrated Yuki a lot.

This season he has suffered so many bad luck DNFs and many while he was in points scoring position.

Theres got to be some truth to that, but there are nuances. I think there are some validity to him just not gelling with the car.

He said that because Tsunoda in Las Vegas said he was his favourite actor and the one he wanted to meet. Which is why he’s in the AT hospitality.

Nonsense. You have deduced this after the last qualli?? He was doing just fine until the qualli here where the margins are close. One qualli is not a pattern.  Also Yuki is no slouch at this track either and has improved quite alot.
