There are some lovely bikes up for auction in Mecum auction in Las Vegas at the end of the month. Even if you can't afford any of them there are some great pics of interesting bikes in the catalogue.

Fancy a 1975 ex Duhamel KR250 immaculately restored https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=535291-0

or

a 1974 ex Art Bauman H2R https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=535302-0

If you have a spare $140k the KR250 looks lovely :drunk:  and the H2R is estimated at $222k

Lots of other photos of great bikes too, H-D/Aermacchi 2 stroke road racers and plenty of TDs, TZs of all capacites.

A nice TZ750 here https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=546960-0

A virtually new TZ700 https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=520006-0

HD/Aermacchi RR350 https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=539929-0

1978 TZ250 with a Rob North low boy frame https://www.mecum.co...?aa_id=496431-0

I notice that the KR250 is a belt drive and 7 speed. So it seems to be quite different to the KR250 and 350s they used in the GPs which I am pretty sure were chain drive. I read that Kawasaki USA played a big role in developing the bike, but does anyone know why the US bikes were belt drive and the European (and Australian and Japanese) bikes were chain drive?
