News has broken of a 6 legged dog which has had an operation to reduce its complement of limbs to the more conventional four . I mentioned to my chum that an opportunity had been missed to leave it with six legs  , respray it yellow and call it AGIP . He suggested spraying it blue and calling it  P34 ...

You'd never see it against the sign though.

The pictures seem to show it having 4 back legs so P24 would be more appropriate. Neither March nor Williams made the 2/4 configuration work so it'll probably do better in more conventional form.

It was a Farley Mk.II. At least that's how the sport of kings would see it.

I think the Williams version did have some serious potential, didn't it?

However, I believe in this recent canine example, the two extra rears didn't have the appropriate musculature to be fully functional - so if anything it was more like the March version when it was demonstrated to the press.

(The sad part is that the poor dog had been abandoned.)

I believe the somewhat odd AGIP emblem was the result of a competition; but the Italian motoring scene has many emblems of feisty animals.

Ferrari tested a twin rear wheel 312T2, sponsored by AGIP.
