Tooru Kitajima, a friend of the Formula One Register, has written a book on the Japanese Super Formula races to celebrate 50 years of top formula racing in Japan.

The book has full race results, grids and entry lists and various statistics from the past 50 years.

The UK price is £60.

Although the Formula One Register books "A Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette" cover Japanese events, Tooru’s book pulls the information together in a single readily accessible volume and goes to a deeper level, for example including practice session times, type of tyre (often very important to a team’s success), sponsor and a statistical section. It does not, however, include chassis numbers.

It is available on Amazon worldwide,

I spoke with Kitajima-San while doing my research on Hitoshi Ogawa, and I use his website for Japanese racing results a lot, so I think his book will be very accurate and organized.

Tooru is the go-to guy for Japanese single seater racing. Recommended.
