*THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED DUE TO A GHOST IN THE MACHINE*

**** The correct finishing order for the race in Bahrain is as follows:

Apologies to mark f1 and Masi Motor Racing for the mixup, and congratulations to LB and Jackie Sterwarts undercrackers for the major boost! I will not be changing the rest of the post because I don't want to lol, the results for Saudi Arabia will be posted later today.

And the new season is off to the races!!! Congratulations to all teams getting off the starting line cleanly and swiftly! Of course, the race this weekend wasn't particularly special, Max barely broke a sweat, and it's looking like that's going to be a common sight for the foreseeable future, but what about our wonderful league here at BOFHQ!! I want to thank all of you for joining the league this year, we've increased the teams by 50% this season, from 12 up to 18! I remember when I was in middle school (that's age 12-13 for all the europeans that are reading) back in 2011/2012, and seeing around 50 entries! Of course games aren't getting that many players these days, but it's exciting to see more people joining the game, especially some of the new faces this year! But enough waffling about BOF history, let's jump right into this and see what happened this week!

Bahrain Results:

A familiar name takes the top step!!!!! The 2022 Champions win the inaugural race of the season, returning to their spetacular form from two seasons ago! A big congratulations as well to Masi Motor Racing, back with a vengeance after finishing in the lower half last season. And a shock podium from You Can F1 These Nuts in their first race back after a year hiatus!!! But there are more interesting things going on underneath the hood here. Let's look closely at the gaps between the positions.

1-2: 5

4-5: 1

7-8: 2

9-10: 1

10-13: 11

14-16: 6

Fifteen of eighteen teams are within 9 points of the team ahead or behind them. This might be one of the tightest opening races we've ever had. Every position is up for grabs, and with so much diversity in the team selections (the highest picked driver was Verstappen, and he was only selected by 50% of the teams), it's looking like there will be a lot of parity among the players this year. I'm amped!!!

The newcomers had a trial by fire in their first week of racing. 3D Grand Prix is the only team in the top half of the table that has not competed in the game before.

But with so many races left (23!), there's more than enough time for a hotshot rookie to steal the show.

The newcomers had a trial by fire in their first week of racing. 3D Grand Prix is the only team in the top half of the table that has not competed in the game before.

Hey! The team has actually won the competition twice, in 2011 (entered as TEAM COSTAZ F1) and 2018 (with the much catchier name 'Mister Spock goes golfing') . I wish I could remember my rationale in picking the teams atthe time, perhaps all this name changing is not helping with the sponsors  :p.

My apologies then! Those were before my tenure as manager!
