Just finishing my Mike Parkes biography and trying to complete his race list (up to now: 144 races!).

In 1957 he drove five races in the Lotus 11 of Geoff Williamson:

09.06. Brands Hatch/ 28.07. Snetterton/ 05.08 Brands Hatch/ 26.09. Silverstone/ 12.10. Snetterton

His close friend Tim Fry: By this time we`d finally wrecked the Lotus.

We put the biggest supercharger you`ve ever seen on its Willment-Ford engine in place of the dynamo and the carburettor was somewhere between the pedals.

It didn`t handle terribly well, and I saw Mike go into a bend at Mallory Park – the long one – and he didn`t come out the other side.

It went straight on into a bank and that was the end of the Lotus...

Can`t find a meeting  ):  not even in www.racingsportscars.com. Maybe the crash happened during practice? Private test?

Support much appreciated! A

G H Williamson was entered at Mallory 6-7-57 as #53. He does not seem to have been on the grid so maybe this is the meeting referred to with a change of driver from the prog?
